DEED POLL (CHANGE OF NAME)
KNOW all men by these presents (which are intended to be enrolled in the Supreme Court of New Zealand at Auckland) that I, the undersigned, Jack Lyons, of 8 Nicol Avenue, Devonport, Auckland, Civil Servant, and now or lately called Jack Lovell Baden-Powell Lees, do hereby on behalf of myself and my heirs and issue lawfully begotten absolutely renounce and abandon the use of my said name of Jack Lyons, and in lieu thereof assume and adopt the names and surname of Jack Lovell Baden-Powell Lees and for the purpose of evidencing such change of name I hereby declare that I shall at all times hereafter in all records, deeds, documents, and other writings, and in all actions, suits, and proceedings, as well as in all dealings and transactions, matters and things whatsoever and upon all occasions use and subscribe the said name of Jack Lovell Baden-Powell Lees as my full name in lieu of the said name of Jack Lyons so abandoned as aforesaid, and I therefore hereby expressly authorize and require all persons whomsoever at all times to designate, describe, and address me and my heirs and issue by such adopted surname of Lees.
In witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my adopted and substituted Christian names of Jack Lovell Baden-Powell and my adopted and substituted surname of Lees this 8th day of September 1952.

THE UPPER HUTT TIMES, LIMITED
In the matter of the Companies Act 1933 and in the matter of the Upper Hutt Times, Limited.
NOTICE is hereby that at a meeting of the above-named company held at the Red Cross Rooms, Logan Street, Upper Hutt, on Friday, the 29th day of August 1952, the following extraordinary resolution was passed :—
" That, as it is proved to the satisfaction of the company that it cannot by reason of its liabilities continue its business and that it is advisable to wind up, it is hereby resolved that the company be wound up voluntarily and that John Aspinall McCulloch, Public Accountant of Upper Hutt, be and is hereby appointed liquidator for the purpose of such winding-up."
All persons or companies having claims against the above-named company are required to send full particulars thereof to the undersigned on or before the 31st day of October 1952 otherwise they may be excluded from participation in any distribution of assets.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
In the matter of the Wellington City Empowering and Amendment Act 1924, the Public Works Act 1928, and the Municipal Corporations Act 1933, and their respective amendments.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Wellington City Council proposes under the provisions of the above-named Acts and all other Acts, powers and authorities enabling it in that behalf to execute a certain public work, namely, for a street at Cockayne Road and Perth Street in the City of Wellington, and for the purpose of such public work the lands described in the first and second Schedules hereto are required to be taken ; and notice is hereby further given that plans of the lands so required to be taken are deposited in the Public Office of the Town Clerk to the said Council in the Town Hall, Cuba Street, in the said city, and are there open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work, or the taking of such lands, should, if they have well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work, or to the taking of the said lands set forth the same in writing and send such writing within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the Wellington City Council addressed to the Town Clerk at his said office.

OTAKI BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Municipal Theatre Renewal Loan 1952, £2,500
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, the Otaki Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :—
" That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £2,500, authorized to be raised by the Otaki Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for redeeming at maturity the outstanding liability in respect of the Municipal Theatre Loan 1937, £7,000, the said Otaki Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny in the pound upon the rateable value, on the basis of the unimproved value, of all rateable property of the Borough of Otaki; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years, or until the loan is fully paid off."
I certify that the foregoing is a correct copy of a resolution passed by the Otaki Borough Council at a meeting of the Council held on the 10th day of September 1952.
