And whereas it is deemed expedient to give effect to the final
scheme as hereinafter appearing :

Now, therefore, pursuant to the Local Government Commission
Act 1946, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government,
acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
hereby declares that as on and from the 1st day of April 1953, the
areas described in the First Schedule hereto shall be excluded from
the County of Geraldine and included in the Borough of Geraldine
and that the areas described in the Second Schedule hereto shall be
excluded from the Borough of Geraldine and included in the County
of Geraldine, and, with the like advice and consent, hereby also
declares that the alteration of boundaries of the said borough and
the said county hereinbefore made shall be deemed to have been
effected under the Municipal Corporations Act 1933.

FIRST SCHEDULE

AREAS EXCLUDED FROM THE COUNTY OF GERALDINE AND INCLUDED
IN THE BOROUGH OF GERALDINE

ALL that area in the Geraldine Riding of the Geraldine County,
Canterbury Land District, situated in Blocks V and VI, Geraldine
Survey District, and containing by admeasurement 197 acres, more
or less, and bounded as follows : Commencing at the south-eastern
corner of Lot 1, D.P. 9064 ; thence north-westerly by a line along
the south-western boundary of the aforesaid Lot 1, D.P. 9064, and
its production to a point on the right bank of the Waihi River ;
thence northerly along the right bank of the Waihi River, being the
eastern boundary of the Borough of Geraldine, to a point in line
with the northern side of the North Town Belt ; thence easterly
generally along a right line, being the production of the northern
side of the North Town Belt to a point on the north-western
boundary of the land comprised in certificate of title, Volume 148,
folio 218, being part R.S. 3159 ; thence generally in a northerly
direction along the north-western boundaries of the land comprised
in the certificate of title aforesaid and Lot 1, D.P. 14855, and
continuing northerly along the western boundary of part Lot 17,
D.P. 1023, to a point in line with the north-eastern boundaries of

north-easterly at right angles thereto for a distance of 25 links,
being a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Lot 7,

and continuing south-easterly by right lines parallel to and distant
250 links from the north-eastern side of Connolly Street to the north-

generally in a southerly direction along the middle of the aforesaid

point in the middle of the Geraldine–Orari via Raukapuka Main

point on the boundary of the Borough of Geraldine at the south-
western corner of Lot 5, D.P. 2630 ; thence south-easterly along
the south-western boundary of Lot 5 aforesaid and its production
to the middle of Gresham Street ; thence south-westerly along the
middle line of Gresham Street to a point in line with the south-
western boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 14642 ; thence to and along that
boundary to the westernmost corner of Lot 2 aforesaid ; thence north-
easterly along the north-western boundaries of Lots 2 and 1, D.P.
14642, and Lots 7 and 6, D.P. 2630 to the point of commencement.

boundary of the Borough of Geraldine, in the centre of Gresham
Street in line with the south-western boundary of Lot 5, D.P. 2630 ;
thence north-easterly along the centre-line of Gresham Street to a
point in line with the southern boundary of the land comprised in
certificate of title, Volume 10, folio 35, being part Rural Section
5810 ; thence to and along the southern and eastern boundaries of
the land comprised in certificate of title, Volume 10, folio 35 afore-
said, to a point 250 links south of the south-western side of Huffy
Street ; thence easterly by a right line parallel to and distant 250
links from the south-western side of Huffy Street to the eastern
boundary of Rural Section 5068 ; thence southerly along the
eastern boundary of Rural Section 5068 aforesaid, to a point on the
boundary of the Borough of Geraldine in line with the southern
boundary of Lot 5, D.P. 2630 ; thence westerly along the boundary

Land District, containing by admeasurement 14 acres 3 roods and
23 perches, more or less, and bounded as follows : Commencing at
a point on the boundary of the Borough of Geraldine, being the
southernmost corner of part Lot 12, D.P. 33 ; thence north-easterly
along the south-eastern boundary of part Lot 12 aforesaid to the
westernmost corner of Lot 1, D.P. 1293 ; thence south-easterly
along the south-western boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 1293 aforesaid, to
the south-western boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 33 ; thence southerly
generally along the western boundaries of Lots 1 and 2, D.P. 33,

Domain Board Appointed to Have Control of the Papamoa Domain

IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Public Reserves, Domains, and National
Parks Act 1928, His Excellency the Administrator of the
Government, acting by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council, hereby revokes an Order in Council dated 6 April
1945, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 19th day of
that month, appointing a Domain Board to control the Papamoa
Domain, and hereby appoints

the Tauranga County Council

to be the Papamoa Domain Board, having control of the land
described in the Schedule hereto ; and hereby appoints Monday,
the 6th day of October 1952, at 12 o’clock noon as the time when,
and the Council Chambers, Spring Street, Tauranga, as the place
where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

Government, it is expedient to vest the said reserve in the Chairman,
Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Waipa :

Now, therefore, pursuant to section 9 of the Public Reserves,
Domains, and National Parks Act 1928, His Excellency the
Administrator of the Government, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares that, from
and after the day of the date hereof, the reserve described in the
Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Chairman, Councillors,
and Inhabitants of the County of Waipa, in trust, for a site for a
war memorial.
