SCHEDULE
CONDITIONS

  1. This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations 1940, and the provisions of those regulations shall so far as applicable, apply hereto.
  2. The premium payable by the licensees shall be £5 (five pounds) and the annual sum so payable £3 (three pounds).
  3. The term of the licence shall be fourteen years from the 1st day of September 1952.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 24th day of September 1952
Present:
His Excellency the Administrator of the Government in Council

PURSUANT to the Rabbit Nuisance Act 1928 and to section 29 of the Rabbit Nuisance Amendment Act 1947, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, at the request of the Minister of Agriculture, made on the recommendation of the Rabbit Destruction Council, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby constitutes and declares the area of land, the boundaries of which are described in the Schedule hereto, being an area to which subsection (1) of section 30 of the Rabbit Nuisance Act 1928, applies, a rabbit district, and appoints that the name of the said rabbit district shall be the Mid-Wakatipu Rabbit District, and orders that the basis on which the Rabbit Board to be established for the said district shall first levy its general rate shall be the acreage of land occupied by the ratepayer.

SCHEDULE
BOUNDARIES OF THE MID-WAKATIPU RABBIT DISTRICT

All that area of land containing by estimation 27,300 acres, more or less, inclusive of roads and streams and bounded as follows:—
Commencing at a point on the western shore of Lake Wakatipu at Trig. L, Block XV, Mid-Wakatipu Survey District; thence south-easterly generally along the western and southern shores of Lake Wakatipu to the western boundary of Block XI, Mid-Wakatipu Survey District at Table Bay; thence southerly along the said boundary to the northern boundary of Eyre North Survey District; thence westerly generally along the said boundary to Mount Nicholas; thence south-westerly along a right line to the junction of the South Branch of the Von River with the White Burn; thence northerly along a right line to Mount Turnbull; thence north-easterly along a right line to Trig. S in Block VIII, Von Survey District; thence easterly along a right line to the point of commencement.

BOUNDARIES OF THE BRUCE RABBIT DISTRICT

All that area in the Otago Land District, Bruce County, containing 68,000 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at the railway bridge adjoining Section 8, Block XXI, Waihola Survey District; thence generally south-easterly along the centre of the Taieri River to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of Section 1 of 21, Block I, Clarendon Survey District; thence south-westerly to and along that boundary and generally south-westerly along public roads forming the north-western boundaries of Sections 1 of 39, 37, 35, and 34, Block I, aforesaid, and Section 2, Block IV, Clarendon Survey District, to Section 4, Block IV aforesaid; thence westerly and southerly along the northern and western boundaries of said Section 4 and Section 6 to and generally north-westerly along a public road intersecting Section 1 of 2, and along the northern boundary of said Section 1 of 2, Block II, Clarendon Survey District, to a closed road; thence generally south-westerly along that closed road and again by a public road generally forming the north-western or northern boundaries of Sections 1 of 2, 2 of 2, 3, 9, 19, 18, 17, 16, 14, 1 of 15, Block II aforesaid, and Sections 6, 5, 14, and 1 of 11, Block III, Clarendon Survey District, to and along the north-western boundary of Section 12 to Narrowdale Road; thence south-easterly and south-westerly along that road to and southerly along the western boundaries of Sections 18 and 13, Block II, Akatore Survey District; thence westerly and southerly along the northern and western boundaries of Sections 6 and 3, and westerly along the southern boundary of Section 2, Block II aforesaid; thence generally south-westerly along public roads forming the eastern boundaries of Sections 45 and 46, intersecting Sections 12, 14, 1 of 13, 1 of 11, again 1 of 13, forming the boundaries of Sections 55, 56, 1 of 17, 19, 37, 23, 57, and 58, all of Block I, Akatore Survey District, to the northern boundary of Block VI, Akatore Survey District; thence westerly along that boundary and its production to the centre of the Tokomairiro River; thence generally southerly along the centre of that river to and south-westerly along Sally Gully Road to and north-westerly along a public road forming the western boundary of D.P. 5832; thence south-westerly and north-westerly along the south-eastern boundaries of Sections 1 of 6 and 2 of 6, and the south-western boundaries of 2 of 6 and 5 to and south-westerly along the north-western boundary of Section 8 and north-westerly along the north-eastern boundary of Section 13, Block I, Kaitangata Survey District, to the south-eastern boundary of Section 3s, Tokoiti Settlement; thence south-westerly along that boundary to a public road; thence south-westerly along the road forming the northern boundaries of Sections 29, 28 and 1, Block III, Kaitangata Survey District; thence north-westerly and south-westerly along the northern and western boundaries of Section 38 and Sections 37 and 36 to and westerly along the northern boundary of Section 32, and again south-westerly along the western boundaries of Sections 32 and 33, all of Block II, Kaitangata Survey District, to a public road; thence generally south-westerly along public roads forming the northern boundaries of Section 9, 8, 7, 3, and through Section 3, and forming the western boundaries of Sections 1 and 2, Block V, Kaitangata Survey District, the northern boundary of Section 5 and intersecting Sections 5 and 4, Block V, South Tuakitoto Survey District, to the eastern shore of Tuakitoto Lake; thence northerly and westerly along the shores of that lake to and westerly and southerly along the northern and western boundaries of Section 3, Block VIII, South Tuakitoto Survey District, to Stony Creek; thence generally north-westerly along the centre of Stony Creek to and easterly along the southern boundary of Section 10A, Barnego Settlement, to the Hillend and Lovells Flat Road; thence north-westerly along that road, and northerly along the western boundary and easterly along the northern boundary of Section 25, Block VII, Hillend Survey District, to its north-eastern corner; thence due north to Lovells Creek and generally northerly along that creek to and generally north-easterly along the southern boundary of D.P. 4684 to the Mount Stuart—Lovells Flat Road; thence generally south-easterly along that road to and north-easterly along a public road forming the eastern boundary of Lot 14, Roxburgh Estate, and intersecting Block LIII, Tokomairiro Survey District, to the south-western boundary of Block LII, aforesaid district; thence north-westerly and north-easterly along the south-western and north-western boundaries of the said Block LII, to and generally northerly along Adams Flat Road to the south-eastern boundary of Block X, Hillend Survey District; thence north-easterly along that boundary and its production to the Milton—Queenstown State Highway; thence generally south-easterly along that highway to and again south-easterly along the centre of the Tokomairiro River to the south-eastern boundary of Block XXVII, Tokomairiro Survey District; thence north-easterly along that boundary and the north-western boundary of Block XXVI, aforesaid district to Fletcher Road; thence generally easterly along that road and generally northerly along Milton—Fletts Bridge Road to and generally north-easterly along the road forming the western boundary of Section 60, and intersecting Section 97 and said Section 60, Block II, Table Hill Survey District, to the Tokomairiro River; thence generally northerly along the centre of the Tokomairiro River, East Branch, to and easterly along the northern boundary of Block I, Table Hill Survey District, to and north-westerly along the south-western boundary of Section 31 and due west to the Tokomairiro River; thence generally northerly along the centre of that river to and easterly along the road intersecting Section 22, Block VI, Table Hill Survey District, to Douglas Road; thence generally northerly and easterly along Douglas Road to a public road; thence generally easterly along that road on the northern boundaries of Sections 31, 32, 33, and 34, Block X, Clarendon Survey District, to the eastern boundary of said Block; thence southerly along that boundary to the Clarendon—Circle Hill Road; thence generally south-easterly along that road to Clarendon—Berwick Road; thence north-easterly along Clarendon—Berwick Road to the south-western boundary of Block X, Waihola Survey District; thence south-easterly along that boundary to the shore of Lake Waihola; thence generally north-easterly along the south-eastern shores of Lake Waihola and the north-western boundary of Block XXI, Waihola Survey District, to the point of commencement, excluding the Borough of Milton as described in N.Z. Gazette dated 17 April 1913, page 1374.
