Land Declared an Infected Place Under the Stock Act 1908 (Notice No. Ag. 5296)

NOTICE is hereby given that, as scrapie has been determined to exist among stock on the land described in the Schedule hereto, the said land has been declared to be an infected place pursuant to section 12 of the Stock Act 1908.

SCHEDULE

ALL that piece of land containing 527 acres, more or less, being Lot 15, D.P. 504, Rural Sections 5822, 13701, 15707, 34349, and part Rural Section 23211, Blocks IX and X, Corwar Survey District.

Position: Lat. 34° 37′ S., long. 171° 51′ E. (approx.).

Details: The Master of the m.v. “Kawaroa” reports having obtained soundings of 19 fathoms 254° 43 miles from Cape Reinga Lighthouse. The locality will be examined when circumstances permit.

Charts Affected: 215, 780, 1212, 3633.

Price Order No. 1401 (Cream)

PURSUANT to the Control of Prices Act 1947, the Price Tribunal, acting with the authority of the Minister of Industries and Commerce, hereby makes the following Price Order:—

PRELIMINARY

  1. This Order may be cited as Price Order No. 1401, and shall come into force on the 16th day of August 1952.

  2. (1) Price Order No. 1291* is hereby revoked.
    (2) The revocation of the said Order shall not affect the liability of any person for any offence in relation thereto committed before the coming into force of this Order.

  3. (1) In this Order, unless the context otherwise requires:—
    “Cream” has the same meaning as in regulations made under the Food and Drugs Act 1947:
    “Gallon”, when used with reference to cream, means 9·95 lb. by weight or 160 fluid ounces by measure:
    “Ounce” means fluid ounce as defined in the Weights and Measures Proclamation 1946†.

APPLICATION OF THIS ORDER

  1. This Order applies with respect to cream sold anywhere in New Zealand to shop dairies, commercial users, or consumers.

FIXING MAXIMUM PRICES THAT MAY BE CHARGED FOR CREAM TO WHICH THIS ORDER APPLIES

  1. The maximum price that may be charged or received for any cream to which this Order applies that is sold to a shop dairy, a commercial user, or a consumer shall be the appropriate price specified in the Schedule hereto. The prices for cream sold in cartons include the cost of the carton.
