Lands Subject to the Housing Act 1919 Declared Crown Lands Available
for Reservation Under the Land Act 1948

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to subsection (1) of section 8 of the Housing
Amendment Act 1940, I, Bernard Cyril, Baron Freyberg, the
Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare
the lands described in the Schedule hereto, being lands subject to
the Housing Act 1919, to be Crown lands available for reservation
under the Land Act 1948.

SCHEDULE

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT

ALL that area situated in Block I, Waiopehu Survey District,
containing by admeasurement 3 roods 11 perches, more or less,
being Lot 26 as shown on a plan deposited in the Land Registry
Office at Wellington under No. 15484, and being part Suburban
Section 46, Town of Levin.

All that area situated in Block X, Kairanga Survey District,
containing by admeasurement 2 roods 16·63 perches, more or less,
being Lot 52 as shown on a plan deposited in the Land Registry
Office at Wellington under No. 15409, and being part Suburban
Sections 1025 and 1027, Township of Palmerston North.

Declaring Lands in the North Auckland, Taranaki, and Otago Land
Districts Vested in the North Auckland, Taranaki, and Otago
Education Boards as Sites for Public Schools, to be Vested in
Her Majesty the Queen

A PROCLAMATION

WHEREAS by subsection (6) of section 5 of the Education
Lands Act 1949 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act),
it is provided that, notwithstanding anything contained in any
other Act, the Governor-General may from time to time, by Pro-
clamation, declare that any school-site or part of a school-site
which in his opinion is no longer required for that purpose shall be
vested in Her Majesty ; and thereupon the school-site or part
thereof, as the case may be, shall vest in Her Majesty freed and
discharged from every educational trust affecting the same, but
subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting
the same at the date of the Proclamation :

Now, therefore, pursuant to subsection (6) of section 5 of the
said Act, I, Bernard Cyril, Baron Freyberg, the Governor-General
of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land
described in the First Schedule hereto, being an area vested in the
North Auckland Education Board, the land described in the Second
Schedule hereto, being an area vested in the Taranaki Education
Board, and the land described in the Third Schedule hereto, being
an area vested in the Otago Education Board as sites for public
schools, shall be vested in Her Majesty the Queen, freed and
discharged from every educational trust affecting the same, but
subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting
the same at the date hereof.

FIRST SCHEDULE

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL that area situated in Block XII, Awhitu Survey District,
containing by admeasurement 5 acres 1 rood 5·2 perches, more or
less, being Lot 1 as shown on a plan deposited in the Land Registry
Office at Auckland under No. 39492, being part Allotment 129 of
Section 4, Parish of Waipipi, and being part of the land comprised
and described in certificate of title, Volume 968, folio 209 (Auckland

TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT

ALL that area situated in Block XI, Paritutu Survey District,
containing by admeasurement 1 acre, more or less, being part Section
201, Huirangi District, and being all the land comprised and
described in certificate of title, Volume 121, folio 200, limited as
to parcels (Taranaki Registry).

THIRD SCHEDULE

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT

ALL that area situated in Block VI, Tarras Survey District, con-
taining by admeasurement 5 acres 1 rood 34·46 perches, more or
less, being Section 1250r and part Section 5, and being the balance
of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume
325, folio 151 (Otago Registry).

Registry). As the same is more particularly delineated on the
plan marked L. and S. 6/6/1046, deposited in the Head Office,
Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon
edged red.
