Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Bernard Cyril, Baron Freyberg, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for health purposes (district nurse’s cottage); and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 4th day of February 1952.

SCHEDULE

Approximate area of the piece of land taken: 2 roods 16·3 perches. Being part Lot 1, D.P. 5399, being part Rural Section 33179, situated in Block VIII, Shepherds Bush Survey District, and being the whole of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 464, folio 293 (Canterbury Land Registry).

Approximate area of the piece of additional land taken: 22 perches. Being part Lot 183, D.P. 13, being part Rural Section 2 and also other part of Rural Section 2, and being the whole of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 304, folio 261 (Canterbury Land Registry).

Vesting a Reserve in the Hastings Borough Council

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 21st day of January 1952

Whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto has been duly set apart as a reserve for public purposes:

And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, it is expedient to vest the said reserve in the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Hastings:

Now, therefore, pursuant to section 9 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Hastings, in trust, for public purposes.

SCHEDULE

Hawke’s Bay Land District

All that area containing by admeasurement 2 roods 15·7 perches, more or less, being Lot 20 as shown on a plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at Napier under No. 4841, being also part Heretaunga Block, situated in Block XV, Heretaunga Survey District. Subject to the reservations imposed by section 8 of the Coal Mines Amendment Act 1950.

Now, therefore, pursuant to section 9 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Pohangina Rabbit Board, in trust, for Rabbit Board buildings.
