Amending an Order in Council Appointing Five Non-elective Members of the Poverty Bay Catchment Board

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act 1941, and section 7 of the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Amendment Act 1948, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby amends the Order in Council dated the 3rd day of August 1949, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 4th day of August 1949, at page 1624, appointing five non-elective members of the Poverty Bay Catchment Board by deleting
“District Geologist, Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Napier,”
and substituting
“Pedologist, Soil Bureau, Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Gisborne.”

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby orders and declares that the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become county road.

SCHEDULE
ALL that portion of road in the Wairarapa South County, Wellington Land District, containing an area of 36 acres 2 roods 24 perches, known as the Wainuioru Farm Settlement Road, commencing at its junction with the Tupurupuru - Te Wharau Main Highway and abutting on the western boundary of the land in Deposited Plan 4491, proceeding thence in a south-westerly direction generally for a distance of 4 miles 35 chains, passing through Sections 78 and 85, Tupurupuru District, Whawhati-Wahine, Maungaraki 2A, Oruata-more, Tikiwhakaire Nos. 1 and 2, and Te Umukereku (all situated in Block II, Wainuioru Survey District, Wainuioru Farm Settlement, Wellington Land District. (S.O. 22478.) As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 137429, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

PURSUANT to section 9 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1948, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby directs that the width of the proposed service-line described in the Schedule hereto shall be less than 12 ft., but not less than 10 ft.
