Lands Vested in the New Plymouth City Council Declared to be a Public Reserve

Department of Lands and Survey,
Wellington, 4 June 1952.

NOTICE is hereby given that the following resolution was passed by the New Plymouth City Council pursuant to section 5 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act 1928 on the 28th day of January 1952, due notice of intention to pass such resolution having been given in terms of the said section, and no objections thereto received :—

"That the New Plymouth City Council, pursuant to the powers conferred upon it by section 5 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act 1928, hereby declares all those pieces of land now vested in it, situated in the City of New Plymouth, containing together 2 acres 1 rood 5·1 perches, more or less, being sections 2392, 2393, and part Fulford Street (closed), Town of New Plymouth, to be a public recreation reserve within the meaning of the above-mentioned Act for recreation purposes."

The lands to which the foregoing resolution relate are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S.1/1205B, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey at Wellington, and thereon edged red. (D.P. 2913, S.O. plans 2539 and 3788.)

Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940

PURSUANT to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport hereby orders and declares that the provisions of clause (1) of regulation 7 of the said regulations so far as they relate to the driving of heavy motors shall not apply to the person hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provision shall apply :—

A motor-driver’s licence issued under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, to the person described in Column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorize him to drive a heavy trade motor in the course of his employment for the employer described in Column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorize him, while he is under the age of eighteen years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.

Approval of Testing Officers Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940

PURSUANT to regulation 5 of the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport hereby approves of the persons named in Column 2 of the Schedule hereto being testing officers for the authority specified in Column 1 of the said Schedule.

Approval of Testing Officer Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940

PURSUANT to regulation 5 of the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport hereby approves of the person named in Column 2 of the Schedule hereto being a testing officer under the said regulations for the authority specified in Column 1 of the said Schedule.

Notice of Intention to Take Land in Block I, Matakaoa Survey District, for a Maori School

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to execute a certain public work —to wit, the construction of a Maori school—and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken. And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Cape Runaway and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

Notice of Intention to Take Additional Land in Block VI, Coromandel Survey District, for a Public School

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take the additional land described in the Schedule hereto for a public school; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land proposed to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Coromandel and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

Notice of Air Weapon Range: Wickliffe Bay

IT is hereby notified that air bombing and air-to-ground firing will take place from time to time in the area described in the Schedule hereunder. All aircraft using the range will be duly authorized by the Commanding Officer, R.N.Z.A.F. Station, Taieri.

SCHEDULE

ALL that area in the Otago Land District bounded by a line commencing at latitude 45° 49′ 51″ south, longitude 170° 42′ 52″ east, and running north-easterly along a line bearing 7° 20′ 35″ true, distant 440 yards; thence south-easterly along a line bearing 97° 20′ 15″ true, distant 500 yards; thence north-easterly along a line bearing 77° 20′ 15″ true, distant 92 yards; thence north-westerly, north-easterly, and south-easterly round the perimeter of an arc of a circle, the centre of which bears 80° 24′ 35″ true, distant 500 yards, for a distance of 1,517 yards; thence north-easterly along a line bearing 77° 20′ 15″ true, distant 5,826 yards; thence south-westerly along a line bearing 187° 20′ 15″ true, distant 5,172 yards; thence north-westerly generally along lines bearing 297° 20′ 15″ true, distant 6,917 yards, and bearing 277° 20′ 15″ true, distant 500 yards, to the point of commencement.

The above area is more particularly delineated on Survey Plan No. 8 D. 2, held at R.N.Z.A.F. Headquarters, Air Department, Wellington, and outlined thereon in red.
