Allocating Railway Land to the Purposes of Road in Blocks VI and VII, Rangiora Survey District, Kowai County

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 226 of the Public Works Act 1928, I, Bernard Cyril, Baron Freyberg, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land which is described in the Schedule hereto (and which was taken for the Hurunui-Waitaki railway, and is not now required for that purpose) shall, upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, become road, and that such road shall be maintained by the Main Highways Board in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Board.

SCHEDULE

Situated in Rangiora Survey District (Canterbury R.D.). (S.O. 8313.)

In the Canterbury Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 136486, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 25 of the Public Works Act 1928, I, Bernard Cyril, Baron Freyberg, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for defence purposes; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 16th day of June 1952.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of Crown land set apart: 32 perches. Being Lot 1, D.P. 14373, being part Rural Section 1676, situated in Block XIV, Christchurch Survey District, and being the balance of the land formerly comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 418, folio 55 (Canterbury Land Registry).

PURSUANT to section 35 of the Public Works Act 1928, I, Bernard Cyril, Baron Freyberg, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby declare the land described in the Schedule hereto and which was acquired subject to the right-of-way over part reserved by Memorandum of Transfer No. 85400, to be Crown land for the purposes of the Land Act 1948, subject to the aforesaid right-of-way.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land declared to be Crown land subject to a right-of-way: 32 perches.

Being Lot 273, D.P. 248, and being part of Section 1, Wharekaka Block.

Situated in the Town of Martinborough and being the whole of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 209, folio 280 (Wellington Land Registry).
