Plants Declared to be Noxious Weeds in Featherston County (Notice No. Ag. 5249)

THE following special order, made by the Featherston County Council on the 9th day of May 1952, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950.

SPECIAL ORDER

THAT in pursuance and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in it by the Counties Act 1920, the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, and all other Acts, regulations, and amendments thereto, the Featherston County Council doth hereby resolve by way of special order, that the weeds contained in the Schedule hereunder shall be hereafter declared noxious weeds within the provisions of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950 in the County of Featherston.

SCHEDULE

Blackberry (Rubus fruticosus and Rubus laciniatus).
Gorse (Ulex, any species).
Hemlock (Conium maculatum).
Ragwort (Senecia jacobaea).

THE following special order, made by the Wairarapa South County Council on the 15th day of May 1952, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950.

SPECIAL ORDER

THAT in pursuance and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in it by the Counties Act 1920, the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, and all other Acts, regulations, and amendments thereto, the Wairarapa South County Council, hereby resolves, by way of special order, that the weeds contained in the Schedule hereunder shall be hereafter declared noxious weeds within the provisions of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950 in the County of Wairarapa South.

THE following special order made by the Paparua County Council on the 12th day of May 1952, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950.

SPECIAL ORDER

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the Paparua County Council hereby resolves by way of special order to declare as noxious weeds within the county, the plants specified in the First Schedule to the Noxious Weeds Act 1950.

The Shops and Offices Act 1921–22—Amended Notice Specifying the Combined District of Auckland

PURSUANT to the provisions of section 13 of the Shops and Offices Act 1921–22, the Minister of Labour doth hereby specify that the Combined District of Auckland comprises the City of Auckland, the Boroughs of Birkenhead, Devonport, Ellerslie, Mount Albert, Mount Eden, Mount Roskill, Mount Wellington, New Lynn, Newmarket, Northcote, Onehunga, One Tree Hill, Otahuhu, and Takapuna, and the Town Districts of Glen Eden, Henderson, and Papatoetoe.
The amended notice, published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 20th April 1950, specifying the Combined District of Auckland, is hereby cancelled.

Redefining Boundaries of the Borough of Havelock North, the County of Hawke's Bay, and the Havelock Riding of the County of Hawke’s Bay

PURSUANT to section 147 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1933, the Minister of Internal Affairs hereby defines, as set out in the Schedule hereto, the boundaries of the Borough of Havelock North, the County of Hawke’s Bay, and the Havelock Riding of the County of Hawke’s Bay, the previous boundaries having been altered by Order in Council made under the said Act dated the 17th day of March 1952, and published in New Zealand Gazette No. 23 of the 20th day of March 1952.

SCHEDULE

BOUNDARIES OF THE BOROUGH OF HAVELock NORTH

ALL that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District bounded by a line commencing at the confluence of Karituwhenua Creek and the old bed of the Ngaruroro River in Block IV, Te Mata Survey District; thence easterly along the said Karituwhenua Creek to the south-western boundary of part Lot 1 on the plan numbered 1956, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Napier; thence south-easterly along that boundary to and across Lower Te Mata Road; thence north-easterly along that road to the south-western boundary of Lot 2 on the plan numbered 7965, deposited as aforesaid; thence south-easterly along that boundary and the south-western boundaries of Lots 1 and 2 on the plan numbered 4281, and part Lot 4 on the plan numbered 1558, both deposited as aforesaid, and that boundary produced through Lots 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 on the plan numbered 5151, deposited as aforesaid, to the Hastings-Waimarama Main Highway; thence by a right line across the said highway to the north-western corner of Lot 1 on the plan numbered 2170, deposited as aforesaid; thence generally southerly along the western boundaries of Lots 1 and 4 on the said plan numbered 2170, and Lot 1 on the plan numbered 2879, deposited as aforesaid, to Te Mata Peak Road; thence again generally southerly by the eastern side of that road and of Ellison Road to the eastern boundary of Lot 1 on the plan numbered 6836, deposited as aforesaid; thence southerly and south-westerly along the eastern and south-eastern boundaries of the said Lot 1, by a right line to the south-eastern corner of Lot 5 on the plan numbered 7953, deposited as aforesaid, by the south-eastern boundaries of the said Lot 5 and Lot 4 on the said plan to Tauroa Road; thence south-easterly along the eastern side of the said road to a point in line with the south-eastern side of Tainui Drive; thence south-westerly to and along the south-eastern side of the said Tainui Drive to the most easterly corner of Lot 75 on the plan numbered 7867, deposited as aforesaid; thence south-westerly generally along the south-eastern boundaries of the said Lot 75 and of Lot 74 and the eastern and southern boundaries of Lot 67 all on the said plan numbered 7867 to Quarry Road; thence generally northerly along the western boundaries of the said Lot 8, Lots 2 and 1 on the aforementioned plan numbered 2819, and part Lot 31 on the plan numbered 3002, deposited as aforesaid, to the south-eastern corner of Lot 1 on the plan numbered 6771, deposited as aforesaid;
