Stipendiary Magistrates Appointed to Exercise Jurisdiction in
Children’s Courts

Appointment of Commissioner of the Native Land Court of the Cook

Gold Revenue, Mining Registrar at Gore for the Otago Mining
District constituted under the Mining Act 1926, on and from the
23rd day of June 1952.

Notice Under the National Savings Act 1940, Section 4
Wellington, 12 May 1952.
IN terms of section 4 of the National Savings Act 1940, I, Sidney
George Holland, Minister of Finance, hereby prescribe that
the thirteenth investment period shall run from 30 June 1952 to
30 June 1953.
The rate of interest to be paid on investments made during such
investment period shall be 3 per cent.
Moneys invested during such investment period by deposit in
an investment account shall be repayable on the 30th day of June
1955.
Provided that where interest is not withdrawn in terms of
section 8 (2) of the said Act and is added to the principal moneys of
the investor, such amount of interest together with interest thereon
shall be repayable on the 30th day of June 1953.
National Savings Bonds issued during such investment period
shall be repayable five years after the date of issue thereof.

Notice Under the National Savings Act 1940, Section 5
Wellington, 12 May 1952.
IN terms of section 5 of the National Savings Act 1940, I, Sidney
George Holland, Minister of Finance, hereby authorize the
Trustees of the undermentioned Savings Banks (being savings
banks constituted under the Trustee Savings Bank Act 1948) to
receive investments by way of deposit in investment accounts
under the National Savings Act 1940, during the investment period
expiring on 30 June 1953.

New Plymouth Savings Bank,
Dunedin Savings Bank, and
Invercargill Savings Bank.
