INVERCARGILL CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATES

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Invercargill City Council hereby resolves as follows :—

“ That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of principal, interest, and other charges on the loans shown hereunder, authorized by the ratepayers and by special order to be raised by the Invercargill City Council under the above-mentioned Act for carrying out the works enumerated on the respective ballot papers and special order, the said Council hereby makes and levies the several special rates shown hereunder, each being levied on the rateable value on the basis of the unimproved value of all rateable property in the City of Invercargill, and that each such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the particular loan in respect of which it is levied, and be payable on the 1st day of April, with the exception of the Transport Loan, second issue of £15,000, 1952, which is payable on the 1st day of March, in each and every year during the currency of such loan, or until the loan is fully paid off.

Water Supply and Drainage Loan 1949, £253,000 (second issue of £10,000, 1952) .. 30 years .. Decimal nought six three pence (0·063d.) in the pound.
Gasworks Loan 1950, £105,000 (first issue of £20,000, 1952).. .. 30 years .. Decimal one two six pence (0·126d.) in the pound.

ASHBURTON BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Water Pumping Loan 1951 of £8,000

FOR the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a special loan of £8,000, authorized to be raised by the Ashburton Borough Council under the above-mentioned Acts, and for the purpose of providing waterworks comprising the installation of a well augmenting the water-supply available in the Borough of Ashburton, the Ashburton Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three farthings (¾d.) in the pound upon the rateable property on the basis of annual value of all rateable property in the Borough of Ashburton, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being for a period of twenty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify the above to be a true and correct copy of a resolution passed by the Ashburton Borough Council at its meeting held on 27 February 1952.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the New Lynn Borough Council hereby resolved as follows :—

“ That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £20,000, authorized to be raised by the New Lynn Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for sewerage extension and water-supply reconstruction purposes, the said New Lynn Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal four one two five pence (0·4125d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of New Lynn, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above is a true copy of resolutions passed at a meeting of the New Lynn Borough Council held on the 25th day of February 1952.
