“ (2) That Mr. IAN CAMERON CHARTRES, of Wellington, be and is hereby appointed liquidator of the company.”

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Roading Development Loan 1951 of £76,000
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Lower Hutt City Council hereby resolves as follows:—
“ That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of seventy-six thousand pounds (£76,000), authorized to be raised by the Lower Hutt City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of extending, widening, and development streets, the said Lower Hutt City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one and fifty-six one-thousandths of one penny (1·056d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property in the City of Lower Hutt, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on or about the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until the loan is paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Lower Hutt City Council held on 28th day of February 1952.

Streets Extension and Widening Loan 1951 of £40,800
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Lower Hutt City Council hereby resolves as follows:—
“ That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of forty thousand eight hundred pounds (£40,800), authorized to be raised by the Lower Hutt City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of extending and widening streets, the said Lower Hutt City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of five hundred and sixty thousandths of a penny (0·560d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property in the City of Lower Hutt, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on or about the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until the loan is paid off.”

“ That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of forty thousand pounds (£40,000), authorized to be raised by the Lower Hutt City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of extending and widening Barraud Street, the said Lower Hutt City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three and three hundred and thirty-nine thousandths of a penny (3·339d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property in the City of Lower Hutt, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on or about the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of three (3) years, or until the loan is paid off.”

“ That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of fifty thousand pounds (£50,000), authorized to be raised by the Lower Hutt City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of reserves development, the said Lower Hutt City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of six hundred and ninety-six thousandths of one penny (0·696d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property in the City of Lower Hutt, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on or about the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until the loan is paid off.”

APPLICATION FOR LICENCE FOR WATER-RACE
NOTICE is hereby given that Geoffrey James Hallewell, on behalf of Her Majesty the Queen, has applied for a licence for a water race for twenty-one years for six heads of water for domestic and construction purposes at Roxburgh Hydro-electric Power Project, commencing at the termination of W.R. 807R near the Roxburgh–Alexandra State Highway at Allen’s Hill, thence in a south-easterly direction through gravel reserve and Sections 49, 50, and again 49, Block V, Teviot Survey District, and terminating at Commissioners Flat Company’s Dam, held under licence No. 808R, the length and intended course of the race being one mile south-easterly from one point of intake. The application will be heard on Monday, 12 May 1952, at 2 p.m., Wardens Court, Roxburgh, and objections must be filed in the office of the Mining Registrar at Lawrence and notified to the undersigned at least three days before the hearing.
