Domain Board Appointed to Have Control of the Mangamahoe Domain

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 25th day of February 1952 Present:

Pursuant to section 44 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby appoints
Joseph Anthony Dravitzki,
Alick Hall,
Barton John Herbert,
Clarence Robert Parker,
Eric Ronald Pierce,
Noel McLeod Ross,
Alfred Herbert Vile, and Charles Weston
to be the Mangamahoe Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto, and hereby appoints Thursday, the 6th day of March 1952, at 8 o'clock p.m., as the time when, and the Memorial Hall, Mangorei, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.
SCHEDULE
TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT—MANGAMAHOE DOMAIN ALL that area containing by admeasurement 5 acres, more or less, being all the land as shown on a plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at New Plymouth under No. 258, and being part Section 25, Hua and Waiwakaiho Hundred, situated in Block III, Egmont Survey District. Subject to the reservations and conditions imposed by Section 59 of the Land Act 1948.

Vesting a Reserve in the Rotorua County Council

THE HON. K. J. HOLYOAKE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has been duly set apart as a reserve for County purposes: And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, it is expedient to vest the said reserve in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Rotorua : Now, therefore, pursuant to section 9 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Rotorua, in trust, for County purposes.

SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
SECTION 3, Block II, Suburbs of Reporoa, situated in Block X, Paeroa Survey District. Area, 2 acres and 26.4 perches, more or less. Vesting the Control of a Reserve in the Boy Scouts' Association (New Zealand Branch) Incorporated

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is a reserve duly set apart for a site for a Boy Scouts' hall: And whereas it is expedient that the control of the said reserve should be vested in the Boy Scouts' Association (New Zealand Branch) Incorporated : Now, therefore, pursuant to section 17 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby vests the control of the said reserve in the Boy Scouts' Association (New Zealand Branch) Incorporated.

Vesting the Control of a Reserve in the Hina Hina Public Hall Board

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 25th day of February 1952 Present:
THE HON. K. J. HOLYOAKE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is a reserve duly set apart for a site for a public hall: And whereas it is expedient that the control of the said reserve should be vested in a special Board as hereinafter provided: Now, therefore, pursuant to section 17 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby vests the control of the reserve, described in the Schedule hereto, for the period of five years from the date hereof (unless previously amended or revoked under the said Act), in the undermentioned persons, namely,—

John Hacquoil,
Conrad Perkins Hotop,
Richard Robert Illingworth,
John Miller,
Kenneth James Richard Pagey,
Thomasina Johanna Campbell Pagey,
Frances Beatrice Perry,
Henry Wallace Hewton Richdale,
Thomas Robert Shalders, and Elizabeth Smith,
who are hereby constituted for that purpose a special Board by the name of the Hina Hina Public Hall Board (hereinafter referred to as the Board), with the powers and subject to the conditions hereinafter contained, that is to say :—

  1. The first meeting of the Board shall be held on Wednesday, 20th day of February 1952, at 8.30 o'clock p.m., in the Hina Hina Public Hall, and thereafter the Board shall meet for the transaction of business at such time and place as may from time to time be fixed by the Board.
  2. The members of the Board shall at their first meeting, and thereafter at the annual meeting hereinafter mentioned, elect one of themselves to be Chairman, who may join in the discussion, and shall have an original as well as a casting vote. The Chairman shall hold office until the election of his successor.
  3. Special meetings may be convened by the Chairman, provided that two days' notice of such meeting is given to each member, specifying the business to be transacted at such special meeting; and no other business than that so specified shall be transacted at such meeting.
  4. Any six members of the Board shall form a quorum. Any meeting may be adjourned from time to time.
  5. If at any meeting the Chairman is not present at the time appointed for holding the same, the members present shall choose one of their number to be Chairman of such meeting.
  6. If by resignation, death, incapacity, or otherwise, the seat of any member shall be or become vacant, or if any member absents himself (or herself), without reasonable cause, from three consecutive meetings of the Board, the Governor-General shall have power to appoint any other person to be a member of the Board in his (or her) stead.
  7. All questions shall be determined by the majority of votes of the members of the Board present at a meeting.
  8. The Board shall have prepared and submitted at an annual meeting to be held in the month of April in each year a report of the proceedings of the Board for the previous year ending on the 31st day of March, together with a statement of the receipts and expenditure of the Board for such year. A copy of every such report and statement, certified by the Chairman to be correct, shall be sent to the Minister of Lands as soon as possible after each annual meeting.
  9. The Board shall control the said reserve and the building erected thereon for the purposes of a public hall, and shall also afford settlers and residents of Hina Hina and the surrounding district such facilities for meeting within the said hall as may from time to time be determined by the Board; provided that the Board shall have power to fix reasonable charges for the use of the said hall.

    OTAGO LAND DISTRICT
    ALL that area containing by admeasurement 1 acre, more or less, being Lot 1 as shown on a plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at Dunedin under No. 2981, being part Section 2, Block I, Woodland Survey District. Subject to the reservations and conditions imposed by section 59 of the Land Act 1948.
