Poukawa Drainage Area-Penalty on Overdue Rates
Department of Lands and Survey,
Wellington, 13 February 1952.
In pursuance of section 76 of the Rating Act 1925 and the Swamp
Drainage Act 1915 and its amendments, the ratepayers within
the Poukawa Drainage Rating Area are hereby notified that 10 per
cent additional will be added to all rates for the year ending 31 March
1952 unpaid on 14 March 1952.
Rates may be paid at any money-order office, or to the Collector
of Rates, Lands and Survey Department, P.O. Box 2205, Auckland C. 1.

The Servicemen's Settlement Act 1950-Notice Declaring Land
Taken for Settlement of Discharged Servicemen
Whereas an application has been made for the consent of
the Land Valuation Court to a transaction which relates
to the land described in the Schedule hereto, and to which Part II
of the Servicemen's Settlement Act 1950, applies:
And whereas the purchaser of the said land is neither a dis-
charged serviceman nor a child or grandchild of the vendor:
And whereas the Land Valuation Committee to which the said
application was referred, not being satisfied that the Crown had
decided not to acquire or arrange for the acquisition of the said
land, did on the 23rd day of January 1952 adjourn the said
application:
Now, therefore, the Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of
section 31 of the said Act, doth hereby declare that the said land is
taken for the settlement of discharged servicemen, and hereby
specifies the 1st day of June 1952 as the date on which the said
land shall be deemed to be vested in Her Majesty the Queen.

SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
All those parcels of land situated in Blocks IX and X, Wharekawa
Survey District, together containing approximately two hundred
and thirteen (213) acres, being part of Lot 2 on Deposited Plan
6613, being part of Waitakaruru 2B Block, and being that part
of the land described in certificate of title, Volume 172, folio 27
(Auckland Registry), lying to the north-east of the road described,
in notice registered under Proclamation 3876.
Also all that parcel of land containing by admeasurement
four (4) acres and thirty-five decimal three (35.3) perches, more or
less, being section 5, Block IX, Wharekawa Survey District, and
being all of the land described in certificate of title, volume 320,
folio 34 (Auckland Registry).
As witness my hand, this 13th day of February 1952.

Pursuant to regulation 3 (5) of the Heavy Motor Vehicle
Regulations 1950, the Minister of Transport doth hereby
approve the Cheviot County Council's proposed classification of
the roads described in the Schedule hereto and situated in the
Cheviot County.

Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940
Pursuant to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister
of Transport doth hereby order and declare that the pro-
visions of clause (1) of regulation 7 of the said regulations so far
as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors shall not apply
to the person hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following
provision shall apply:-
A motor-driver's licence issued under the Motor Drivers Regula-
tions 1940, to the person described in Column 1 of the Schedule
hereunder may authorize him to drive a heavy trade motor in the
course of his employment for the employer described in Column 2
of the said Schedule, but shall not authorize him, while he is under
the age of eighteen years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other
purpose.
