Land District, Vested in the Otago Education Board as a site
for a Public School, to be Vested in His Majesty the King

A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS by subsection (6) of section 5 of the Education
Lands Act 1949 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act)
it is provided that, notwithstanding anything contained in any
other Act, the Governor-General may from time to time, by
Proclamation, declare that any school-site or part of a school-site
which in his opinion is no longer required for that purpose shall be
vested in His Majesty; and thereupon the school-site, or part
thereof, as the case may be, shall vest in His Majesty freed and
discharged from every educational trust affecting the same, but
subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting
the same at the date of the Proclamation:
Now, therefore, pursuant to subsection (6) of section 5 of the
said Act, I, Bernard Cyril, Baron Freyberg, the Governor-General
of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described
in the Schedule hereto, being an area vested in the Otago Education
Board as a site for a public school, shall be vested in His Majesty
the King, freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting
the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements
affecting the same at the date hereof.
SCHEDULE
OTAGO LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area situated in Block III, Waitahuna West Survey
District, containing by admeasurement 2 acres 1 rood 35 perches,
more or less, being Lot 1 as shown on a plan deposited in the Land
Registry Office at Dunedin under No. 2146, being part Section 45A,
Greenfield Settlement, and being all the land comprised and described
in certificate of title, Volume 160, folio 92 (Otago Registry).
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General,
and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 31st day
of January 1952.

Road Traversing Maori Land Proclaimed as a Public Road in
Blocks VII and XI, Tokomaru Survey District, Gisborne Land
District

A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS the road described in the Schedule hereto traverses
Maori land and has been used by the public as a public road and has been formed, improved, or maintained out of public funds :
And whereas the Maori Land Court, by an order made on the 21st day of June 1951, and issued pursuant to section 484 of the Maori Land Act 1931, ordered and declared the said road to be a public road :
And whereas the said Court is of the opinion that it is in the public interest that the said road should be proclaimed as a public road, and a notification to that effect has been forwarded to the Minister of Lands in terms of section 486 of the Maori Land Act 1931 :
And whereas it is now expedient that the said road should be proclaimed as a public road :
Now, therefore, pursuant to section 487 of the Maori Land Act 1931, I, Bernard Cyril, Baron Freyberg, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim as a public road the road described in the Schedule hereto.

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land proclaimed as a road :—

Being portion of Tokomaru K3 ; coloured orange.
Situated in Block VII, Tokomaru Survey District.
Hikuwai River Bed ; coloured sepia.

In the Gisborne Land District ; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 16/2837, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, under No. 3077, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

WHEREAS the road described in the Schedule hereto traverses Maori land and has been used by the public as a public road and has been formed, improved, or maintained out of public funds : And whereas the Maori Land Court, by an order made on the 26th day of April 1951, and issued pursuant to section 484 of the Maori Land Act 1931, ordered and declared the said road to be a public road : And whereas the said Court is of the opinion that it is in the public interest that the said road should be proclaimed as a public road, and a notification to that effect has been forwarded to the Minister of Lands in terms of section 486 of the Maori Land Act 1931 : And whereas it is now expedient that the said road should be proclaimed as a public road : Now, therefore, pursuant to section 487 of the Maori Land Act 1931, I, Bernard Cyril, Baron Freyberg, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim as a public road the road described in the Schedule hereto.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land proclaimed as a road : 22 acres l rood 36 perches. Being portion of Puhunga A Block, situated in Block III, Mata Survey District. (S.O. plan 4426) In the Gisborne Land District ; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 16/3170, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, under No. 3076, and thereon coloured orange. A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto was taken for the purposes of the Wellington-Napier railway, and is no longer required for that purpose : Now, therefore, pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Bernard Cyril, Baron Freyberg, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land subject to the Land Act 1948.
