Consenting to Land Being Taken for Street in the Borough of Hastings

At the Government House at Wellington, this 28th day of November 1951
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the land described in the Schedule hereto being taken for street.

SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land permitted to be taken:—
A. R. P. Being
0 0 0·3 Part Lot 2, D.P. 6725, and being part Heretaunga Block ; coloured blue.
0 0 39 Lot 3, Deeds Plan 414, and being part Heretaunga Block ; coloured sepia.
0 0 1·6 Part Lot 4, Deeds Plan 414, and being part Heretaunga Block ; coloured yellow.
Situated in the Borough of Hastings (Hawke’s Bay R.D.). (S.O. 2564.)

In the Hawke’s Bay Land District ; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 135717, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Directing the Sale of Railway Land at Westshore Under the Public Works Act 1928

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby directs the sale of the land described in the Schedule hereto, such land being no longer required for the public work for which it was taken.

SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land : 19·07 perches.
Being part railway land in Proclamation 1033.
Situated in Block IV, Heretaunga Survey District, City of Napier. (S.O. 2569.)

In the Hawke’s Bay Land District ; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 11246, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow.

Changing the Purpose of a Reserve in Block VI, Ngakawau Survey District, Nelson Land District

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is a reserve duly set apart for police purposes :
And whereas it is expedient that the purpose of the reservation over such land shall be changed to a reserve for a site for a public hall :
Now, therefore, pursuant to subsection (1) (a) of section 7 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares that the purpose of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto is hereby changed from a reserve for police purposes to a reserve for a site for a public hall.

Vesting Reserves in the Ashburton Borough Council

At the Government House at Wellington, this 28th day of November 1951
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

WHEREAS the lands described in the Schedule hereto have been duly set apart for reserves for a site for a pound and for an extension of the public pound respectively :
And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, it is expedient to vest the said reserves in the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Ashburton :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section 9 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act 1928, hereby declares that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserves described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Ashburton, in trust, for a site for a pound.

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT
RESERVE 2277, situated in the Borough of Ashburton, being all the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 42, folio 186 (Canterbury Registry) : Area, 3 roods, more or less. (S.O. plan B.M. 311.)
Reserve 2389, situated in the Borough of Ashburton : Area, 3 roods, more or less. (S.O. plan B.M. 311.)
Subject to the reservations imposed by section 8 of the Coal Mines Amendment Act 1950.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has been duly set apart as a reserve for recreation purposes :
And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, it is expedient to vest the said reserve in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Heathcote :
Now, therefore, pursuant to section 9 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Heathcote, in trust, for recreation purposes.

SCHEDULE
CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT
RESERVE 4618, situated in Block XV, Christchurch Survey District, and being all the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 532, folio 180 (Canterbury Registry) : Area, 1 rood 11·4 perches, more or less. Subject to the drainage easement created by Transfers numbered 167346 and 181927, and subject to a covenant as to fencing contained in Memorandum of Transfer numbered 328282, and subject also to the reservations imposed by section 8 of the Coal Mines Amendment Act 1950.

Recreation Reserve in Southland Land District Brought Under Part II of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act 1928

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 34 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby orders and declares that the reserve for recreation in the Southland Land District described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby brought under the operation of and declared to be subject to the provisions of Part II of the said Act ; and such reserve shall hereafter be known as the Waitane-Glencoe Domain, and be managed, administered, and dealt with as a public domain.
