Road Traversing Maori Land Proclaimed as a Public Road in Block XIV, Ohinewairua, and Blocks II and VI, Hautapu Survey Districts, Wellington Land District

A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS the road described in the Schedule hereto traverses Maori land and has been used by the public as a public road and has been formed, improved, or maintained out of public funds :
And whereas the Maori Land Court, by an order made on the 28th day of February 1951, and issued pursuant to section 484 of the Maori Land Act 1931, ordered and declared the said road to be a public road :
And whereas the said Court is of the opinion that it is in the public interest that the said road should be proclaimed as a public road, and a notification to that effect has been forwarded to the Minister of Lands in terms of section 486 of the Maori Land Act 1931 :
And whereas it is now expedient that the said road should be proclaimed as a public road :
Now, therefore, pursuant to section 487 of the Maori Land Act 1931, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim as a public road the road described in the Schedule hereto.

Allocating Land Taken for a Railway to the Purposes of a Road at Waiau

A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto forms part of land taken for the purposes of the Hurunui-Waitaki railway, and it is considered desirable to allocate such land to the purposes of a road :
Now, therefore, pursuant to section 226 of the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, become a road, and that the said road shall be under the control of the Amuri County Council, and shall be maintained by the said Council in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Council.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land : 1 acre and 6·5 perches.
Being part railway land, part Reserve 3420.
Situated in Block XIII, Waiau Survey District, Amuri County.

A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS additional land is required at Timaru for the purposes of the Hurunui-Waitaki railway :
Now, therefore, pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for railway purposes ; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 3rd day of December 1951.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the residence-site licence in the land described in the Schedule hereto, held by Gilbert George Cross, of Cronadun, Farmer, is hereby taken for the purposes of a road ; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 3rd day of December 1951.
