Revoking Part of a Proclamation Defining the Middle-line of Portion of the Paeroa-Pokeno Railway (22 m. 10 ch.-28 m. 30 ch. from Paeroa)

A PROCLAMATION
Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke the Proclamation dated the 8th day of April 1938 and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 30 of the 13th day of the same month, at page 929, and deposited in the Land Registry Office at Auckland as No. 9614, defining the middle-line of a portion of the Paeroa-Pokeno railway (22 m. 10 ch.-28 m. 30 ch. from Paeroa) in so far as it affects part Allotment 68 and Allotment 84, Maramarua Parish (certificate of title, Volume 812, folio 99).
In the South Auckland Land District (Auckland R.D.).
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 2nd day of November 1951.

A PROCLAMATION
Pursuant to section 29 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1948, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim as street the land described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
Approximate area of the piece of land proclaimed as street: 3 roods 9·4 perches.
Being part Lot 16, D.P. 8318, being part Section 23, Right Bank Wanganui River.
Situated in Block III, Westmere Survey District (City of Wanganui). (S.O. 21715.)
In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 135637, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue.

Proclaiming an Area in the City of Auckland to be a Reclamation Area Under Part II of the Housing Improvement Act 1945

A PROCLAMATION
Pursuant to section 19 of the Housing Improvement Act 1945, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim the area defined in the Schedule hereto to be a reclamation area under Part II of the said Act.
SCHEDULE
All that piece of land situate in the City of Auckland bounded as follows: Commencing at the intersection of the eastern side of Ponsonby Road and the northern side of Anglesea Street; thence in a south-easterly direction along the eastern side of Ponsonby Road to its intersection with Karangahape Road; thence in a north-easterly direction along the northern side of Karangahape Road to its intersection with Day Street; thence in a northerly and easterly direction along the western and northern sides of Day Street to its intersection with Beresford Street; thence in a northerly direction across Beresford Street to the intersection of its northern side with the western side of St. James Street; thence in a northerly direction along the western side of St. James Street to its intersection with Nelson Street; thence across Nelson Street in a north-westerly direction to the intersection of its western side with the southern side of Union Street; thence in a southerly direction along the western side of Nelson Street to its intersection with Beresford Street; thence generally in a north-westerly and westerly direction along the northern side of Beresford Street and Anglesea Street to the point of commencement; as the said area is delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 135650, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Authorizing the Laying-off of Chester Street and Chester Place, in the Taradale Town District, Subject to Conditions as to the Building-lines

At the Government House at Wellington, this 7th day of November 1951

His Excellency the Governor-General in Council
Pursuant to section 31 of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act 1948 and section 125 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorizes the Taradale Town Board to permit the laying-off of the proposed street to be known as Chester Street first described in the Schedule hereto at a width for part of its length of less than 66 ft., but not less than 50 ft., and of the proposed street to be known as Chester Place secondly described in the Schedule hereto of a width less than 66 ft., but not less than 40 ft., subject to the conditions that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on Lots 7, 12, 13, 14, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 46, 47, 48, 49, and 50 of a subdivision of the land adjoining Chester Street as shown on the P.W.D. plan referred to in the Schedule hereto, within a distance of 48 ft. from the centre-line of the said street, or on Lots 6, 25, 34, and 45 of the said subdivision within a distance of 40 ft. from the centre-line of the said street, or on the land adjoining Chester Place within a distance of 48 ft. from the centre-line of the said Chester Place.
SCHEDULE
That proposed street in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, Taradale Town District, to be known as Chester Street, containing by admeasurement 3 roods 39·1 perches, more or less, being part Lots 4, 5, and 6, Deeds Plan 193, being part Suburban Sections 45 and 46, Meeanee District.
That proposed street in the said land district and town district, to be known as Chester Place, containing by admeasurement 1 rood 11 perches, more or less, being part Lot 4, Deeds Plan 193, being part Suburban Section 46, Meeanee District.
As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 135701, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Revoking the Declaration of Main Highways and Declaring Public Highways to be Main Highways

His Excellency the Governor-General in Council
In pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by section 3 of the Main Highways Act 1922 and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares that, on and after the date of publication of this Order in Council in the Gazette, the main highways described in the First Schedule hereto shall cease to be main highways, and further declares that the roads described in the Second Schedule shall be main highways within the meaning and for the purposes of the Main Highways Act 1922.
FIRST SCHEDULE
HIGHWAY DISTRICT NO. 2A
Auckland–Helensville.—All that main highway or portion of main highway in the Borough of New Lynn, declared as the Auckland–Helensville Main Highway, commencing at the eastern boundary of the said borough, and proceeding thence generally in a westerly direction, and terminating at the western boundary of the said Borough of New Lynn, being a distance of 1 mile 37 chains, more or less, described in Order in Council dated 9 June 1924 and published in the New Zealand Gazette on 12 June 1924; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 107368, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue.
New Lynn–Huia via Brooklyn.—All that main highway or portion of main highway in the Borough of New Lynn, declared as the New Lynn–Huia via Brooklyn Main Highway, described in Order in Council dated 2 October 1940 and published in the New Zealand Gazette on 10 October 1940.
HIGHWAY DISTRICT NO. 8
Horopito–Bulls via Taihape.—All that main highway or portion of main highway in the Counties of Waimarino and Rangitikei, the Boroughs of Ohakune and Taihape, and the Town Districts of Mangaweka, Hunterville, and Bulls, declared as the Horopito–Bulls via Taihape Main Highway, described in Order in Council dated 2 October 1940 and published in the New Zealand Gazette on 10 October 1940.
Pipiriki–Raetihi–Ohakune.—All that main highway or portion of main highway in the Waimarino County and the Boroughs of Raetihi and Ohakune, declared as the Pipiriki–Raetihi–Ohakune Main Highway, described in Order in Council dated 2 October 1940 and published in the New Zealand Gazette on 10 October 1940.
