Crown Land Set Apart for Railway Purposes in the County of Waimate

A PROCLAMATION

WHEREAS additional land is required at Morven for the purposes of the Hurunui-Waitaki railway, now, therefore, pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for railway purposes; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 23rd day of October 1951.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken: 2 acres.
Being Section 4, Block VIII, Township of Morven (Waikakahi Settlement).

Situated in Waimate County. (S.O. 1463.)

In the Canterbury Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 11155, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 11th day of October 1951.

Declaring Portions of Railway Land Near Kirikopuni to be Crown Land

A PROCLAMATION

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto was taken for the purposes of the North Auckland Main Trunk Railway, and is no longer required for that purpose, now, therefore, pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land subject to the Land Act, 1948.

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land:—

All situated in Block VII, Maungaru Survey District, Hobson County. (S.O. 35465.)

In the North Auckland Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 10169, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

PURSUANT to section 35 of the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby declare the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land subject to the Land Act 1948.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land declared to be Crown land: 36·3 perches.
Being Lot 240, D.P. 15410, being part Rural Section 2282.

Situated in the City of Timaru (Canterbury R.D.).

As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 134181, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon edged green.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928 and section 47 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1948, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto, now held for housing purposes, is hereby set apart for the purposes of the Wellington-Napier railway; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 23rd day of October 1951.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land set apart: 1 rood 26·67 perches.
Being Lots 286 and 287, D.P. 8170, being part Lot 1, D.P. 7251, being also part Te Whare-o-Maraenui Block, and being part of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, H.B. Volume 117, folio 298 (Hawke’s Bay Land Registry).

Situated in the City of Napier.
