HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to section 31 of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act, 1948, and section 125 of the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby authorize the Motueka Borough Council to permit the laying-off of the proposed streets described in the Schedule hereto at a width for part of their lengths of less than 66 ft., but not less than 50 ft., subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the proposed streets within a distance of 48 ft., from the centre-lines of the said streets.

SCHEDULE
That proposed street in the Nelson Land District, Borough of Motueka, containing by admeasurement 1 acre and 0·3 perches, more or less, being part Lot 4, D.P. 1575, being part Section 161 (Native Reserve), District of Motueka.
Also that proposed street in the Nelson Land District, Borough of Motueka, containing by admeasurement 1 rood 20 perches, more or less, being part Lot 5, D.P. 1575, being part Section 161 (Native Reserve), District of Motueka.
As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 135043, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to section 31 of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act, 1948, and section 125 of the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorizes the Papatoetoe Borough Council to permit the laying-off of the proposed street described in the Schedule hereto at a width for part of its length of less than 66 ft. but not less than 50 ft., subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land shown edged green on the plan marked P.W.D. 135134, referred to in the said Schedule, within a distance of 48 ft. from the centre-line of the said street.

Authorizing the Depreciation Fund Commissioners of the Franklin Electric-power Board and the Franklin Electric-power Board to Invest Moneys in Certain Local-body Securities

At the Government House at Wellington, this 5th day of September, 1951

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to the Electric-power Boards Amendment Act, 1927 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby authorize the investment in debentures of the New Plymouth City Council, bearing interest at 3¼ per cent. for a period of ten years from the 1st day of April, 1952, of the sum of sixteen hundred pounds (£1,600) received in terms of section 22 of the said Act by the Depreciation Fund Commissioners of the Franklin Electric-power Board, and the sum of six hundred and fifty pounds (£650) in terms of section 30 of the said Act by the Franklin Electric-power Board.

Authorizing Harold Meriton Taylor, of Tariki, Dairy-farmer, to Use Water for the Purpose of Generating Electricity

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby grant to Harold Meriton Taylor, of Tariki, Dairy-farmer (hereinafter referred to as the licensee), a licence subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth, to take and use from a pond situated in section 284, Block V, Huiroa Survey District, in the County of Inglewood, for the purposes hereinafter set forth, a stream of water not exceeding 2 cubic feet per second at any one time.

CONDITIONS
- IMPLIED CONDITIONS
The conditions directed to be implied in all licences by the Water-power Regulations 1934 and the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935 shall be incorporated in and shall form part of this licence, except in so far as the same may be inconsistent with the provisions hereof.
- LICENCE SUBJECT TO REGULATIONS
This licence is issued under the Water-power Regulations 1934, and is subject thereto and to the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935, and the Radio Interference Regulations 1934, and to any regulations hereafter made in amendment thereof or in substitution therefor, respectively.
- UTILIZATION OF WATER AND LOCATION OF HEADWORKS
Water shall be be used under this licence solely for the purpose of generating electricity and shall be taken from the said pond at the point in Section 284, Block V, Huiroa Survey District, indicated on the plan marked S.H.D. 155, deposited in the office of the Minister in Charge of the State Hydro-electric Department.
- GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF WORKS
The licensee is hereby authorized, subject to the conditions hereof, to construct, maintain, and use the following works for the purposes of this licence, the positions of the said works being indicated on the said plan S.H.D. 155 :—
(a) Headworks consisting of a dam and intake with pipeline leading to the power-house, hereinafter referred to, giving a static head of approximately 16 ft.
(b) A turbine and power-house with all necessary equipment for generating electricity, situated in Section 284, Block V, Huiroa Survey District.
(c) A tail-race leading from the aforesaid power-house to the Monganui River.
- SYSTEM OF SUPPLY
The system of supply shall be as described in paragraph (d) of clause 21-01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, and shall be a direct-current system.
- DURATION OF LICENCE
Unless sooner lawfully determined, this licence shall continue in force until the 31st day of March, 1972.
- RENTAL
For the purpose of assessing the rental or annual sum payable in respect of this licence, the licensee may install a suitable maximum-demand indicator to the satisfaction of the Inspecting Engineer of the State Hydro-electric Department, and, failing such installation, the rental shall be assessed on the maximum generating capacity of the plant installed. The present plant is rated at 0·25 of a kilowatt.
- NO RIGHT TO WATER CONFERRED
Nothing in this licence shall of itself confer upon the licensee any right to water.
