IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION
NOTICE is hereby given that, pursuant to section 222 of the Companies Act, 1933, the above-named company, on the 13th day of August, 1951, passed as a special resolution the following resolution:—
“Resolved as a special resolution that the company be wound up voluntarily, and that Mr. ROBERT HENRY STEWART be and he is hereby appointed liquidator.”

Annual Statement
I, ROBERT KING, Trust Manager, do solemnly and sincerely declare:—
- That the liability of the members is limited.
- That the capital of the company is £1,500,000, divided into 1,500,000 shares of £1 each.
- That the number of shares issued is 1,500,000.
- That calls to the amount of £1 per share have been made under which the sum of £1,500,000 has been received.
- That the amount of all moneys received on account of estates is £33,425,435 10s.
- That the amount of all moneys paid on account of estates is £33,174,292 12s. 3d.
- That the amount of the balance held to the credit of estates under administration is £251,142 17s. 9d.
- That the liabilities of the company at the close of its financial year (to wit, the 31st day of May, 1951) were: Debts owing to sundry persons by the company, viz.: On judgment, nil; on speciality, nil; on notes or bills, nil; on simple contracts, £332,141; on estimated liabilities, £2,503,660.
- That the assets of the company on that date were: Government securities, New Zealand, £708,709; Government securities, British and British Dependencies, £1,660,662; bills of exchange and promissory notes, nil; cash at bankers and in hand, £906,115; other securities, £7,651,977.
And I make this solemn declaration conscientiously believing the same to be true and by virtue of the provisions of an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand intituled the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927.

PICTON BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Water Extension Loan, 1951, £11,000
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it on that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and amendments, and all other powers in that behalf thereunto enabling it, the Council of the Borough of Picton doth hereby resolve as follows:—
“That, for the purpose of securing the interest and other charges on a loan of eleven thousand pounds (£11,000), authorized to be raised by the Picton Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of carrying out extensions to the water-supply storage and reticulation, the said Council hereby pledged a special rate of one penny and one farthing (1¼d.) in the pound (£) on the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property within the Borough of Picton, which, if required, shall be appropriated as security for the purpose of the payment of interest and principal of the said loan, and that such rate shall be an annually recurring rate payable on demand in each and every year during the currency of the said loan.”
I hereby certify that the above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Picton Borough Council held on the 16th day of August, 1951.

WAITARA BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Waterworks Supplementary Loan, £7,000
THAT in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Waitara Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—
“That, for the purpose of providing the principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of seven thousand pounds (£7,000), authorized to be raised by the Waitara Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act as a supplementary loan to the Waitara Borough Waterworks Loan, 1947, of £75,000, for the purpose of completing the duplication and improvement of the water system of the Borough of Waitara, the Waitara Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of fifty-three sixty-fourths of a penny (53/64d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the Borough of Waitara, comprising the whole of the Borough of Waitara, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
We hereby certify that the above is a true copy and a correct extract from the minutes of proceedings of the Waitara Borough Council at a meeting held on the 15th day of August, 1951.
