The Standards Act, 1941—Draft New Zealand Standard Specification—No. D. 3792: Lead Pipes (for Other than Chemical Purposes)
NOTICE is hereby given that the above draft New Zealand Standard Specification is now being circulated to affected interests for consideration and comment. The closing date fixed for such comment is the 17th November, 1951.
All persons who may be affected by this specification once it has been declared a standard specification by the Minister of Industries and Commerce may, at any time before the closing date for comments, obtain, on application, free copies from the New Zealand Standards Institute, Hamilton Chambers, 201 Lambton Quay, Wellington, so as to have an opportunity to consider the draft and to comment thereon to the Standards Council or to an appropriate committee of the Council in accordance with subsection (3) of section 8 of the Standards Act, 1941.

Pharmacy Industry
E. J. Seager, P.O. Box 7, Rotorua, has applied for a licence to operate a new pharmacy at 252 St. Aubyn Street, New Plymouth.
A. W. Wagstaff, 6 Barton Street, New Plymouth, has applied for a licence to operate a new pharmacy at 270 Carrington Road, Vogeltown, New Plymouth.
Retail Sale and Distribution of Motor-spirit
L. C. Lineham, Belmont—Western Hutt Road, Wellington, has applied for a licence to resell motor-spirit from four pumps to be installed on proposed service-station premises at Belmont—Western Hutt Road, Wellington.
R. S. Coupe, Kaihu, North Auckland, has applied for a licence to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed on hotel premises at Kaihu, North Auckland.
R., F., W. and L. Cleland, Devon Street East, Fitzroy, New Plymouth, have applied for a licence to resell motor-spirit from three pumps to be taken over from Mr. L. Richardson and which are at present installed in Devon Street East, Fitzroy, New Plymouth.
Harwood and Kay, Ltd., Rata Street, Inglewood, has applied for permission to shift two pumps from their present position in Rata Street, Inglewood, to a new site 2 chains distant and on a corner section.
Applicants and other persons considering themselves to be materially affected by the decisions of the Bureau of Industry on these applications should, not later than 6th September, 1951, submit any written evidence and representations they may desire to tender. All communications should be addressed to Secretary, Bureau of Industry, Box 3025, Wellington.

Declaring Land to be Subject to Part I of the Maori Land Amendment Act, 1936 (Kaipara Development Scheme)
PURSUANT to section 4 of the Maori Land Amendment Act, 1936, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby declares the land described in the Schedule hereto to be subject to Part I of the said Act.
SCHEDULE
ALL that area of land in the Tokerau Maori Land Court District containing 30 acres and 27 perches, more or less, called or known as Raekau No. 2b, situate in Block X, Otamatea Survey District, and being the whole of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 248, folio 17 (Auckland Registry).
Dated at Wellington, this 20th day of August, 1951.
