Notice of Vesting of Land in the Public Trustee Under the Public Trust Office Act, 1908, Part II—Unclaimed Lands

WHEREAS, I, the undersigned, the Public Trustee, have for the purposes of Part II of the Public Trust Office Act, 1908 (relating to unclaimed lands), made due inquiry with respect to the pieces of land described in the Schedule hereunder and the whereabouts of the owner thereof, and have, in respect of the said pieces of land, given the notices prescribed by section 66 of that Act and have in all respects complied with the provisions of that Act pertinent thereto :

And whereas the owner has not established his title to the said pieces of land as required by that Act :

I hereby give notice that the said pieces of land are under and by virtue of that Act vested in the Public Trustee as aforesaid as from the date of the publication hereof, and will be administered under the Public Trust Office Act, 1908, the value of the said pieces of land for the purposes of section 67 (d) of that Act being less than five hundred pounds (£500).

SCHEDULE

FIRST, all that parcel of land containing 50 acres, more or less, being Allotment 357 of the Parish of Te Papa, and being the whole of the land comprised in certificate of title, Volume 575, folio 60 (Auckland Registry), limited as to title and as to area, and being all the land comprised in Conveyance No. 280K from John Duncan to John Magill of Tauranga, Settler, which conveyance bears date the 1st day of May, 1868.

Secondly, all that parcel of land containing 50 acres, more or less, being Allotment 358 of the Parish of Te Papa, and being the whole of the land comprised in certificate of title, Volume 575, folio 80 (Auckland Registry), limited as to title and as to area, and being all the land comprised in Crown Grant No. 91028 (Record No. 3 G.K. 191), dated the 9th day of September, 1868, to John Magill, sometime private in the 1st Regiment of the Waikato Militia.
