The Servicemen's Settlement Act, 1950—Notice Declaring an Interest in Land Taken for Settlement of Discharged Servicemen

WHEREAS an application has been made for the consent of the Land Settlement Board to a transaction which relates to the land described in the Schedule hereto, and to which Part II of the Servicemen's Settlement Act, 1950, applies :

And whereas the transferee of the said land is neither a discharged serviceman nor a child or grandchild of the transferor :

And whereas the Land Settlement Committee to which the said application was referred, not being satisfied that the Crown had decided not to acquire or arrange for the acquisition of the interest of the lessee in the said land, did on the 10th day of July, 1951, adjourn the said application :

Now therefore, the Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of section 36 of the said Act, doth hereby declare that the interest of the lessee in the said land is taken for the settlement of discharged servicemen, and hereby specifies the 6th day of August, 1951, as the date on which the said interest shall be deemed to be vested in His Majesty the King.


SCHEDULE

HAWKE'S BAY LAND DISTRICT

ALL that area containing by admeasurement two hundred and eighty-two (282) acres three (3) roods twenty (20) perches, more or less, being Section 15, Block VIII, Maungaharuru Survey District, and being all the land comprised and described in Small Farms Settlement Lease No. 17, recorded in Register Book, H.B. Volume 107, folio 149 (Hawke's Bay Registry).

As witness my hand this 27th day of July, 1951.

And whereas the purchaser of the said land is neither a discharged serviceman nor a child or grandchild of the vendor :

And whereas the Land Valuation Committee to which the said application was referred, not being satisfied that the Crown had decided not to acquire or arrange for the acquisition of the said land, did on the 23rd day of July, 1951, adjourn the said application :

Now, therefore, the Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of section 31 of the said Act, doth hereby declare that the said land is taken for the settlement of discharged servicemen, and hereby specifies the 28th day of August, 1951, as the date on which the said land shall be deemed to be vested in His Majesty the King.


SCHEDULE

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT

ALL that area containing two hundred (200) acres, more or less, being Section 24, Block X, Glenkenich Survey District, and being all of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 68, folio 31 (Otago Registry). (S.O. plan 499.)

Also all that area containing two hundred (200) acres, more or less, being Section 13, Block X, Glenkenich Survey District, and being all of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 104, folio 296 (Otago Registry), subject to interests, easements, and rights under the laws relating to mining, mines, and minerals. (S.O. plan 499.)

Also all that area containing two hundred (200) acres, more or less, being Section 14, Block X, Glenkenich Survey District, and being all of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 75, folio 23 (Otago Registry), subject to the taking and laying-out of roads for public use by the Crown under section 160 of the Land Act of 1877. (S.O. plan 499.)

Declaring Parts of a Tribal District to be Tribal Committee Areas Under the Maori Social and Economic Advancement Act, 1945

PURSUANT to section 14 of the Maori Social and Economic Advancement Act, 1945, I, Ernest Bowyer Corbett, Minister of Maori Affairs, do hereby declare the tribal district described in the Schedule hereto to be a tribal committee area for the purposes of the said Act, and do hereby assign to such area the name appearing at the head of the description of such area.

SCHEDULE

RAUHOTU TRIBAL DISTRICT

Rauhotu Tribal Committee Area

ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District bounded by a line commencing at a point in the middle of the mouth of the Herekawe Stream, in Block IV, Paritutu Survey District, then proceeding in a southerly direction along a right line in the direction of Rata Trig. Station, in Block VI, Egmont Survey District, to its intersection with the boundary of the Egmont National Park ; thence westerly and southerly generally along the boundary of the Egmont National Park to its intersection with the middle of the Oaonui Stream, in Block IV, Opunake Survey District ; thence south-westerly generally down the middle of the Oaonui Stream to its mouth ; thence northerly and north-easterly generally to and along the sea-coast to the middle of the mouth of the Herekawe Stream, the point of commencement.

Dated at Wellington, this 27th day of July, 1951.

The Traffic Regulations 1936—Direction Indicator Approved

IN terms of regulation 10 of the Traffic Regulations 1936, the Minister of Transport hereby approves of the appliance described in the Schedule hereto for use on or in connection with a motor-vehicle, provided that and so long as the said appliance is identical in design, construction, make, and effect with the sample thereof deposited in the office of the Transport Department, Wellington.

Revoking Portion of a Warrant Excluding Road from Limitation as to Speed Imposed by Section 36 of the Transport Act, 1949

IN terms of section 36 of the Transport Act, 1949, the Minister of Transport doth hereby revoke that portion of the Warrant dated the 21st day of December, 1936,* which applies to the Drury–Awhitu via Waiuku Main Highway No. 90 within Waiuku Town District.

Social Security Act, 1938—The Drug Tariff (September, 1946) Amendment No. 12: Notice Regarding Amendments to Prescription Prices in the New Zealand Formulary, Part 2

PURSUANT to section 90 of the Social Security Act, 1938, I, Jack Thomas Watts, Minister of Health, do hereby issue the following direction :—

  1. This direction may be cited as the Drug Tariff (September, 1946) Amendment No. 12.

  2. This direction shall be read together with and form part of the Drug Tariff (September, 1946), hereinafter called the principal direction.

  3. The reference in Part 2 of the New Zealand Formulary to the First, Second, and Third Schedules to the Rules of Prescription Pricing shall, where applicable, be deemed to be the Prescription Pricing Supplement 1951/2, issued by the Pharmacy Plan Industrial Committee. This amendment shall take effect with respect to all medical prescriptions and midwifery orders (whatever the date thereof) that are presented to a contractor for fulfilment on or after the 1st August, 1951.
