Revocation of Notice Declaring Special Egg Marketing Area at Blenheim—The Egg Marketing Emergency Regulations 1942

PURSUANT to the Egg Marketing Emergency Regulations 1942,* the Minister of Marketing doth hereby give notice as follows :—

  1. This notice shall come into force on the 3rd day of August, 1951.

  2. The notice dated the 27th day of November, 1942, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 3rd day of December, 1942, at page 2842, whereby the area set forth in the Schedule hereto was declared to be a Special Egg Marketing Area, is hereby revoked.

SCHEDULE

ALL that area in the Marlborough Land District within a circuit of 13 miles measured from the centre of Market Square, Blenheim, and including the townships of Seddon, Okaramio, and Koromiko.

Dated at Wellington, this 26th day of July, 1951.

THE following special order, made by the Marlborough County Council on the 20th day of July, 1951, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1950.

SPECIAL ORDER

THAT, pursuant to section 3 of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1950, the Marlborough County Council resolves and declares by way of special order the plants named in the Schedule hereunder to be noxious weeds within the district of the County of Marlborough :—

Barberry (Berberis vulgaris).
Bathurst bur (Xanthium spinosum).
Bindweed (Convolvulus arvensis).
Blackberry (Rubus fruticosus and Rubus laciniatus).
Boxthorn (Lycium ferocissimum syn. Lycium horridum).
Burdock (Arctium, any species).
Californian thistle, Canadian thistle, or creeping thistle (Cirsium arvense).
Cape tulip (Homeria collina).
Charlock (Sinapis arvensis).
Common broom (Cytisus scoparius).
Crack willow (Salix fragilis).
Fennel (Foeniculum vulgare).
Goat’s rue (Galega officinalis).
Gorse (Ulex, any species).
Greater bindweed (Calystegia sepium).
Hakea (Hakea saligna, Hakea suaveolens, Hakea pubescens, and Hakea acicularis).
Hawthorn (Crataegus oxyacantha and Crataegus monogyna).
Heath (Erica lusitanica and Erica arborea).
Hemlock (Conium maculatum).
Hoary cress (Cardaria draba syn. Lepidium draba).
Japanese wineberry (Rubus phoenicolasius).
Kangaroo acacia (Acacia armata).
Knapweed (Centaurea nigra).
Milk thistle or variegated thistle (Silybum marianum).
Mist flower or Mexican devil (Eupatorium adenophorium).
Nassella tussock (Nassella trichotoma).
Needle grass (Stipa neesiana).
Nodding thistle (Carduus nutans).
Prickly pear (Opuntia monacantha).
Ragwort (Senecio jacobaea).

THE following special order, made by the Temuka Borough Council on the 18th day of July, 1951, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1950.

SPECIAL ORDER

THAT, in exercise of the power conferred upon it by the Noxious Weeds Act, 1950, the Temuka Borough Council hereby resolves and declares by way of a special order that the plants mentioned hereunder, being plants mentioned in the First Schedule of the said Act, are noxious weeds within the Temuka Borough :—

Blackberry.
Burdock.
Californian thistle, Canadian thistle, or creeping thistle.
Common broom.
Gorse.
Hemlock.
Ragwort.
Sweetbrier.
St. John’s wort.
Star thistle.

The Servicemen’s Settlement Act, 1950—Notice Declaring Land Taken for Settlement of Discharged Servicemen

———

WHEREAS an application has been made for the consent of the Land Valuation Court to a transaction which relates to the land described in the Schedule hereto, and to which Part II of the Servicemen’s Settlement Act 1950, applies :

And whereas the purchaser of the said land is neither a discharged serviceman nor a child or grandchild of the vendor :

And whereas the Land Valuation Committee to which the said application was referred, not being satisfied that the Crown had decided not to acquire or arrange for the acquisition of the said land, did on the 24th day of July, 1951, adjourn the said application :

Now, therefore, the Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of section 31 of the said Act, doth hereby declare that the said land is taken for the settlement of discharged servicemen, and hereby specifies the 8th day of August, 1951, as the date on which the said land shall be deemed to be vested in His Majesty the King.

HAWKE’S BAY LAND DISTRICT

ALL that area situated in Block XV, Waipukurau Survey District, containing by admeasurement fifty-six (56) acres one (1) rood, more or less, being part of Kaimotumotu South No. 1 Block, and being the balance of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 39, folio 296 (Hawke’s Bay Registry), subject to a private right-of-way, appurtenant to Kaimotumotu South Nos. 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 Blocks.

Also all that area situated in Block XV, Waipukurau Survey District, containing by admeasurement fifty-six (56) acres three (3) roods thirty-eight (38) perches, more or less, being Kaimotumotu South No. 3 Block, and being all the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 39, folio 297 (Hawke’s Bay Registry), subject to a private right-of-way, appurtenant to Kaimotumotu South Nos. 4, 5, 6, and 7 Blocks.

Also all that area situated in Block XV, Waipukurau Survey District, containing by admeasurement fifty-six (56) acres three (3) roods thirty-eight (38) perches, more or less, being Kaimotumotu South No. 5 Block, and being all the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 39, folio 298 (Hawke’s Bay Registry), subject to a private right-of-way, appurtenant to Kaimotumotu South Nos. 6 and 7 Blocks.

Also all that area situated in Block XV, Waipukurau Survey District, containing by admeasurement fifty-six (56) acres three (3) roods thirty-eight (38) perches, more or less, being Kaimotumotu South No. 4 Block, and being all the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 39, folio 299 (Hawke’s Bay Registry), subject to a private right-of-way, appurtenant to Kaimotumotu South Nos. 5, 6, and 7 Blocks.

Also all that area situated in Block XV, Waipukurau Survey District, containing by admeasurement twenty-eight (28) acres one (1) rood thirty (30) perches, more or less, being part of Kaimotumotu South No. 6 Block, and being the balance of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 39, folio 300 (Hawke’s Bay Registry), subject to a private right-of-way, appurtenant to Kaimotumotu South No. 7 Block.

Also all that area situated in Block XV, Waipukurau Survey District, containing by admeasurement seventy-four (74) acres one (1) rood eleven (11) perches, more or less, being part of Kaimotumotu South No. 7 Block, and being the balance of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 46, folio 1 (Hawke’s Bay Registry).

Also all that area containing by admeasurement thirty-six (36) acres three (3) roods seven decimal five (7·5) perches, more or less, being part of Section 4, Block XV, Waipukurau Survey District, and being the balance of the land comprised in certificate of title, Volume 5, folio 220 (Hawke’s Bay Registry).
