A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for road ; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 5th day of June, 1951.

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the middle-line of a road desired to be constructed over Block VII, Mahurangi Survey District—viz., a deviation of the Birkenhead-Maungaturoto Main Highway—shall be that defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto ; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall affect only that land situated within the limits of the area shown coloured red on the plan marked P.W.D. 134242, referred to in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

COMMENCING at a point on the centre line of Brown’s Road, in the Warkworth Town District, approximately 120 links north-east of the southern corner of part of Allotment 67, Mahurangi Parish, and proceeding thence in a north-easterly and north-westerly direction generally for a distance of approximately 34 chains, and passing in, into, through, or over the following lands, &c.—viz., Lot 90, D.P. 22136, part of Allotment 49, Mahurangi Parish, Lot 5, D.P. 36395, Lot 4, D.P. 36395, part of Allotment 49, Mahurangi Parish, all situated in Block VII, Mahurangi Survey District ; and terminating at a point on the centre line of the Birkenhead-Maungaturoto Main Highway approximately 100 links north-west of the southern corner of the Kowhai Park Domain, being part of Allotment 49, Mahurangi Parish, including all adjoining and intervening places, lands, reserves, roads, tracks, lakes, rivers, streams, and watercourses ; all in the North Auckland Land District. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 134242, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Rabbit Nuisance Act, 1928, and to section 29 of the Rabbit Nuisance Amendment Act, 1947, His Excellency the Governor-General, at the request of the Minister of Agriculture, made on the recommendation of the Rabbit Destruction Council and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby—

(1) Alter and redefine the boundaries of the Albury Rabbit District by adding thereto the area of land the boundaries of which are described in the First Schedule hereto ;

(2) Declare that the boundaries of the said district as so altered and redefined shall be those set forth in the Second Schedule hereto.
