The Standards Act, 1941.—Amendment of Standard Specifications

Consequential Amendments to N.Z.S.S. 95: New Zealand Standard Code of Building By-laws and Related Specifications Thereto.

NOTICE is hereby given that, on the 30th day of April, 1951, the undermentioned standard specifications were amended by the Minister of Industries and Commerce by the incorporation of the Amendments shown hereunder :—

NOTICE is hereby given that on the 30th day of April, 1951, the undermentioned specifications were declared to be standard specifications by the Minister of Industries and Commerce pursuant to section 8 of the Standards Act, 1941 :—

Claims Against Japanese Closed Institutions

8th May, 1951.

NEW Zealand creditors of Closed Institutions in Japan are notified that the special liquidators in Japan are now ready to receive claims which must reach them by the 16th July, 1951. Creditors of Japanese institutions, companies, banks, &c., should inquire of the Public Trustee, as Custodian of Enemy Property, P.O. Box 5024, Wellington, who holds a list of the Closed Institutions, whether their debtors in Japan are included in the comprehensive list of institutions covered by the closing orders. Claim forms may be obtained from the Public Trustee.

Light Established

Position: Northern extreme of Rabbit Island: Lat., 37° 04′ S.; Long., 175° 55′·6 E. (approx.). (Chart No. 3332.)

Abridged Description: Gp. Fl. (2) W.R. 15 sec. 322 ft. 15 M. (U).

Details: An unwatched light, electric, showing 2 flashes thus—flash 0·4 sec. eclipse 1·6 secs., flash 0·4 sec. eclipse 12·6 secs.—will be exhibited on or about the 17th May, 1951, from a white steel tower in a position 049° 1·8 miles from the northern extreme of Rabbit Island. Elevation 322 ft., height of tower 14 ft., arc of visibility, white 145° through south to 216°, red thence to 240°, white thence to 037°, white partially obscured thence to 049°, obscured thence to 094°, white thence to 121°, obscured thence to 145°. Masters of vessels are requested to report on the efficiency of the above light.

Road Closed by Order of the Maori Land Court

Department of Maori Affairs,
Wellington, 27th April, 1951.

NOTICE is hereby given that the piece of road described in the Schedule hereto has been declared closed by order of the Maori Land Court at Ruatoria on the 14th day of November, 1942, pursuant to section 489 of the Maori Land Act, 1931.

And it is further notified that the existing title for the Manutahi A 6 Block, being a Consolidation Order bearing date the 14th November, 1925, has been amended so as to include within the boundaries of the said block the portion of stopped road described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

ALL that area of public road containing 1 rood 14·5 perches, more or less, in the Gisborne Land District, being portion of the road traversing the Manutahi A 6 Block situate in Block XVI, Mangao-paro Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked S.O. 4638, deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Auckland, and thereon edged red.
