NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Raglan County Council proposes to take for road the portions of land described in the First Schedule hereto and to stop those portions of road described in the Second Schedule hereto under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928. A plan of the portions of land proposed to be taken and the portions of road proposed to be stopped lies open to public inspection at the offices of the Raglan County Council, Waingaro Road, Ngaruawahia, during forty days from the date of the first publication of this notice. All persons objecting to the proposals must lodge their objections in writing at the offices of the Council on or before the 24th day of April, 1951.

NOTICE is hereby given that, pursuant to section 300 of the Companies Act, 1933, and section 11 of the Statutes Amendment Act, 1939, the following special resolution was duly passed by Sun Ray, Limited, on the 17th day of April, 1951 :—

ASHBURTON BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Water Reticulation Loan, 1951, £20,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Health Act, 1920, and the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, and in pursuance and exercise of all other powers and authorities enabling it in that behalf the Ashburton Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :—

“ That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a special loan of £20,000, authorized to be raised by the Ashburton Borough Council under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of providing water reticulation in portions of the Ashburton Borough, hereby makes and levies a special rate of twopence (2d.) in the pound upon the rateable property (on the basis of annual value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Ashburton and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being for a period of twenty-five years or until the loan is fully paid off.”
