In the matter of the Companies Act, 1933, and in the matter
of the T. M. LANE AND SONS, LIMITED, COMPANY (old
firm only) (in liquidation).
NOTICE is hereby given that, at an extraordinary general meeting
of the members of the T. M. Land and Sons, Ltd., Company,
duly convened, and held at the registered office of the company at
Totara North, on Saturday, the 14th day of April, 1951, at 8 p.m.,
the following special resolution was passed :-
“ That the T. M. Land and Sons, Ltd., Company, be wound
up voluntarily and that MORTON HERON KELLY, of Totara North,
Accountant, be and is hereby appointed liquidator for the purposes
of such winding-up.”

Act, 1933, the following resolution was passed on Monday, 30th
April, 1951 :-

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the pro-
visions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to take the land
described in the Schedule hereto for road ; and notice is hereby
further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is
deposited in the office of the Rangitikei County Council at Marton,
and is there open for inspection, and that all persons affected by
the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded
objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing
and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication
of this notice, to the Clerk of the Rangitikei County Council at
Marton.

OTAMATEA COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf
by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Otamatea County
Council hereby resolves as follows :-
“ That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £5,000, authorized to be raised by the
Otamatea County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the
purpose of purchasing land and erecting dwellings and purchasing
land with dwellings thereon, the said Otamatea County Council
hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-fifth of a penny in
the pound upon the rateable unimproved value of all rateable
property of the County of Otamatea ; and that such special rate
shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan
and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and
every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty
years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

KAIKOURA COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Kaikoura
County Council hereby resolves as follows :-
“ That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of principal,
interest, and other charges on a loan of five thousand pounds (£5,000),
authorized to be raised by the Kaikoura County Council under the
above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of meeting the Council’s share
of the cost of the erection of the Kahutara, Lynton, and Kekerangu
Bridges, the Kaikoura County Council hereby makes and levies a
special rate of eleven two-hundred-and-fiftieths of a penny (0·044d.)
in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value)
of all rateable property in the whole of the County of Kaikoura,
and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during
the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st
day of September, in each and every year during the currency of
such loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years or until the loan
is fully paid off.”
The above is an extract from the minutes of proceedings of the
Kaikoura County Council at a meeting of such Council held on the
20th day of April, 1951.
