Amending the Constitution of the Tokoroa Rural Fire District

THE RIGHT HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Forest and Rural Fires Act, 1947, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby make the following Order:—
The Order in Council dated the 17th day of November, 1948, and published in the New Zealand Gazette on the 18th November, 1948, at page 1398 (hereinafter referred to as the said Order in Council), is hereby amended by omitting the Second Schedule to that Order in Council and substituting the Second Schedule set out in the Schedule to this Order in Council.

Constitution of Rural Fire District

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 17th day of April, 1951
Present:
THE RIGHT HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Forest and Rural Fires Act, 1947, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby constitute and declare the area described in the Schedule hereto to be a rural fire district, to be known as the “Waitane Rural Fire District”; and doth hereby specify the trees and other plants on land owned by Waitane Sawmilling and Afforestation, Limited, a company having its registered office at Invercargill, and situated in the said area as the property for the protection of which the district is constituted; and doth hereby specify the period between the first day of August in any one year and the thirtieth day of April in the following year (both days inclusive) as a closed fire season in the said district; and doth hereby constitute the directors for the time being of the said Waitane Sawmilling and Afforestation, Limited, as the rural fire committee of the Waitane Rural Fire District; and doth hereby declare that this Order in Council shall come into force and that the Waitane Rural Fire District shall become a rural fire district on the day following publication of this Order in Council in the Gazette; and doth hereby prescribe that the said district shall be administered for the purposes of the said Act by the Rural Fire Committee hereby constituted.

SCHEDULE
SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT.—SOUTHLAND CONSERVANCY
Waitane Rural Fire District
ALL that area in the Southland Land District, Southland County, containing approximately 3,800 acres, situated in Blocks V, VII, and X, Waimumu Hundred, and Block II, Lindhurst Hundred, and bounded generally as follows: Towards the north by Sections 60, 59, and 68, Block II, Lindhurst Hundred; towards the west by Section 59 aforesaid and Section 58, Block II aforesaid, and Sections 58A, 56, and 57, Block V, Waimumu Hundred; towards the north-west by Sections 58, 59, 60, 61, and 62, Block V aforesaid; towards the north-east by the northern side of a public road; towards the east generally by Lots 47 and 46 on Land Transfer plan 177 (Southland Land Registry), and by the eastern side of Miller Road; towards the south by the southern side of the Winton-Gore Main Highway; and towards the west by Sections 19 and 18, Block I, Lindhurst Hundred. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 212/9, deposited in the Head Office of the New Zealand Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
