Authorizing the Laying-off of a Street off Paisley Street, in the Borough of Levin, at a Width Less Than 66 Feet, but Not Less Than 50 Feet, Subject to a Condition as to the Building-lines

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 24th day of April, 1951
Present:
THE HON. K. J. HOLYOAKE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 31 of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act, 1948, and section 125 of the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby authorize the Levin Borough Council to permit the laying-off of the proposed street described in the Schedule hereto at a width for parts of its length of less than 66 feet, but not less than 50 feet, subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land shown edged green on the plan marked P.W.D. 132553, referred to in the said Schedule, within a distance of 48 feet from the centre-lines of the portions of the said street which run in a north-west–south-east direction and within a distance of 35 feet from the centre-line of the portion of the said street which runs in a north-east–south-west direction.
SCHEDULE
THAT proposed street in the Wellington Land District, Borough of Levin, containing by admeasurement 3 roads 30·9 perches, more or less, being part Section 12, Levin Village Settlement, and 1 road 33 perches, more of less, being part Suburban Section 14, Levin Village Settlement.
As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 132553, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

The Northern Side of an Unnamed Road and the Eastern Side of Portion of Queen Street, in the County of Bay of Islands, Exempted From the Provisions of Section 128 of the Public Works Act, 1928, Subject to Conditions as to the Building-lines

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 24th day of April, 1951
Present:
THE HON. K. J. HOLYOAKE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 128 of the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Bay of Islands County Council on the 14th day of February, 1951, viz:—
“ That the Bay of Islands County Council, being the local authority having control of the roads and streets in the Russell Town district, by resolution declares that the provisions of section 128 of the Public Works Act, 1928, shall not apply to the eastern side of portion of Queen Street and the northern side of a Crown Grant Road, fronting the Subdivision of Sections 5 and 14, Block I, Russell Town, being part of the land in Certificate of Title, Volume 213, folio 267 (Auckland Registry) ”;
subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the northern side of the unnamed road (described in the Schedule hereto) within a distance of 20 feet from the centre-line of the said road, and subject further to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the eastern side of the portion of Queen Street (described in the Schedule hereto) within a distance of 33 feet from the centre-line of the said portion of road.
SCHEDULE
THE northern side of all that unnamed road situated in the North Auckland Land District, County of Bay of Islands, fronting Sections 5 and 14, Block I, Town of Russell.
Also the eastern side of all that portion of road in the said land district and county, known as Queen Street, fronting Section 14, Block I, Town of Russell.
As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 133955, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

PURSUANT to section 149 of the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council doth hereby consent to the Hawke’s Bay County Council stopping the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road permitted to be stopped:
1 acre 0 roods 1·9 perches.
Adjoining or passing through part Lot 2, Subdivision D, Heretaunga Block.
Situated in Block XV, Heretaunga Survey District (Hawke’s Bay R.D.). (S.O. 2471.)

PURSUANT to section 547 of the Maori Land Act, 1931, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that
John Cuthbert Weeks, Field Supervisor, Ruatoria,
being an officer in the service of the Crown employed by the Department of Maori Affairs, is authorized to attest, in accordance with the provisions of the said section 547, the signatures of Maoris to instruments by way of security within the meaning of the Chattels Transfer Act, 1924.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 18th day of April, 1951.
