Altering and Redefining the Boundaries of the Waimatua Rabbit District.—(Notice No. Ag. 4948)

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 23rd day of January, 1951
Present:
THE HON. K. J. HOLYOAKE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS by section 31 of the Rabbit Nuisance Act, 1928, it is enacted that the Governor-General, at the request of the Board of any rabbit district, may, by Order in Council, alter and redefine the boundaries of its district:
And whereas the district known as the Waimatua Rabbit District has been constituted under and for the purposes of the said Act:
And whereas the Board of the said district has, pursuant to the said section 31 of the said Act, requested that the boundaries of its district be altered and redefined by including an additional area therein:
And whereas the consent of a majority of the persons in such additional area qualified to be enrolled on the ratepayers list for the said district has been given to the inclusion of such additional area in the said district:
And whereas it is deemed expedient to alter and redefine the boundaries of the said district accordingly:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the said Act, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby—
(1) Alter and redefine the boundaries of the said district so constituted as aforesaid:
(2) Declare that the boundaries of the said district shall be those set forth in the Schedule hereto; and, further,
(3) Declare that this Order in Council shall come into force on the day following publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette.

SCHEDULE
BOUNDARIES OF THE WAIMATUA RABBIT DISTRICT
ALL that area in the County of Southland, Southland Land District, containing by estimation 77,130 acres, more or less, inclusive of roads, railways, and streams and bounded as follows: Commencing at the junction of the Gore-Invercargill State Highway with Rockdale Road, Block II, Invercargill Hundred; thence generally in a north-easterly direction along the south-eastern side of the Gore-Invercargill State Highway, to its junction with Evans Road, Block VI, Invercargill Hundred; thence generally in a southerly direction along the western side of Evans Road to the left bank of the Waihopai River, through Section 30, Block VIII, Invercargill Hundred; thence generally in an easterly direction along the left bank of the Waihopai River to the Woodlands South Main Highway; thence southerly along the western side of the Woodlands South Main Highway, to its junction with the Kennington-Waikawa Main Highway; thence generally in an easterly direction along the southern side of the Kennington-Waikawa Main Highway, to Gorge Road; thence generally in a southerly direction along the western side of Gorge Road, to a point in line with the southern side of Manson Road; thence generally in an easterly direction across Gorge Road, and along the southern side of Manson Road, to a public road forming the south-western boundary of Block XI, Oteramika Hundred; thence south-easterly along the south-western side of the said public road and across a road reserve, to the right bank of the Mataura River; thence generally in a southerly direction along the right bank of the Mataura River to a point in line with the northern boundary of Block XIV, Oteramika Hundred; thence westerly across Holtz Road and along the northern boundary of the said Block XIV, to the north-western corner thereof; thence southerly along the western boundary of the said Block XIV, to the north-eastern corner of Block XIII, Oteramika Hundred; thence westerly along the northern boundary of the said Block XIII to the eastern boundary of Block V, Oteramika Hundred; thence northerly and westerly along the eastern and northern boundaries of the said Block V, and across a public road to the eastern boundary of Campbelltown Hundred; thence northerly along the eastern boundary of Campbelltown Hundred to the south-eastern corner of Section 66, Block IX, Campbelltown Hundred; thence in a westerly direction along the southern boundary of the said Section 66 and Section 65, a public road, Sections 64 and 63 to the south-western corner of the last-mentioned section; thence in a south-westerly direction by a right line to a point on the northern side of a public road forming the northern boundary of Section 66, Block VIII, Campbelltown Hundred, in line with the eastern boundary of the said Section 66; thence in a westerly direction along the said public road forming the northern boundary of Section 66, aforesaid, and Sections 14, 13, 11, and 12, Block VIII, aforesaid, and in a south-westerly direction along the aforesaid public road forming the north-western boundary of Sections 12 and 1, Block VIII, and Sections 1, 48, and 14, Block III, Campbelltown Hundred, to its junction with another public road forming the north-eastern boundary of Section 45, Block III, aforesaid; thence in a north-westerly direction along the north-eastern side of the said public road forming the north-eastern side of the said Section 45 and Sections 15, 16, and 30a, Block III, aforesaid, to and across the Invercargill-Bluff State Highway to the Invercargill-Bluff Railway Reserve; thence in a north-easterly, northerly, and north-westerly direction along the said Invercargill-Bluff Railway Reserve, to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of the Borough of South Invercargill; thence in a north-easterly, south-easterly, and easterly direction to the south-eastern corner of the said Borough; thence in a northerly direction generally along Rockdale Road, to the point of commencement.

Authorizing the Laying-off of a Street in the Borough of Morrinsville, of a Width Less than 66 feet, but not Less than 50 feet, Subject to a Condition as to the Building-line

THE HON. K. J. HOLYOAKE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 31 of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act, 1948, and section 125 of the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby authorize the Morrinsville Borough Council to permit the laying-off of the proposed street described in the Schedule hereto, at a width for the whole of its length of less than 66 feet, but not less than 50 feet, subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on Lots 1 to 8 and 10 to 18 inclusive of a subdivision of the land edged green (as shown on the plan marked P.W.D. 133288, referred to in the said Schedule) within a distance of 48 feet from the centre-line of the said street, or on Lots 9 and 19 of the said subdivision within a distance of 33 feet from the centre-line of the said street.

THAT proposed street in the South Auckland Land District, Borough of Morrinsville, containing by admeasurement 3 roods 10 perches, more or less, being part Lot 1, D.P. 32457, being part Motumaho No. 2 Block. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 133288, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in him by the Valuation of Land Act, 1925, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and direct that the District Valuation Rolls for the Districts enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be revised by the Valuer-General as at the 31st day of January, 1951.

In exercise of the discretion conferred upon him by subsection (2) of section 8 of the Valuation of Land Act, 1925, the Valuer-General intends to exercise the authority conferred by the foregoing Order in Council so far as it relates to Waiheke Island by revising only those properties on the said Island which are not included in the roll for the Western Waiheke Road District. Authority for the revision of the Oрапiu Road District within the said Island has been separately conferred by the foregoing Order in Council.
