Cancelling the Vesting of Reserves in the Geraldine County Council

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 28th day of March, 1951
Present:
THE HON. K. J. HOLYOAKE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS the lands described in the Schedule hereto are reserves for gravel pits and are vested in trust in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Geraldine:
And whereas it is expedient that the vesting of the said lands as hereinbefore referred to should be cancelled, and the Geraldine County Council has duly consented to such cancellation:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection (1) of section 10 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby cancel the vesting in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Geraldine of the lands described in the Schedule hereto.

RESERVE 1476, Block IV, Orari Survey District: Area, 5 acres, more or less.
Also Reserve 1785, Block IV, Orari Survey District: Area, 5 acres 2 roods, more or less. (S.O. plan 2876L.)

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is a reserve for municipal purposes:
And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, it is expedient to vest the said reserve in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Wellington:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section 9 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that from and after the day of the date hereof the reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Wellington, in trust, for municipal purposes.

Recreation Reserve in the Nelson Land District Brought Under Part II of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928

THE HON. K. J. HOLYOAKE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
BY virtue of the powers and authorities vested in me by section 34 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby order and declare that the reserve for recreation in the Nelson Land District described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby brought under the operation of and declared to be subject to the provisions of Part II of the said Act; and such reserve shall hereafter be known as the Upper Takaka Domain, and be managed, administered, and dealt with as a public domain.

NELSON LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area containing by admeasurement 1 acre 1 rood 31·7 perches, more or less, being part of Sections 46 and 47, Square 8, situated in Block XI, Takaka Survey District, and being all the land shown on a plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at Nelson under No. 4386. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1/1247, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Removal of Three Offices From Administrative Division Under the Public Service Act, 1912

THE HON. K. J. HOLYOAKE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS by section 6 of the Public Service Amendment Act, 1946, and by subsection (2) of section 18 of the Public Service Act, 1912, it is enacted that the Commission may, whenever it appears advantageous to the Public Service so to do, certify to the Governor-General that it is expedient to add any office to or abolish any office in the Administrative Division of the Public Service of New Zealand; and the Governor-General in Council may, upon such certificate, add any office to the Administrative Division or abolish any office therein:
And whereas the Public Service Commission has certified to the Governor-General that it is expedient to abolish in the Administrative Division the offices set out in the Schedule hereto:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by subsection (2) of section 18 of the Public Service Act, 1912, and of all other powers enabling him in this behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby abolish in the said Administrative Division the offices set out in the Schedule hereto.
