ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 27th day
of February, 1951

Present:

THE HON. K. J. HOLYOAKE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

WHEREAS the land described in the First Schedule hereto
is a reserve duly set apart as a site for a public pound:

And whereas the land described in the Second Schedule hereto
forms part of a reserve duly set apart for an Agricultural and
Pastoral Society’s showground:

And whereas it is expedient that the purpose of the reservations
over such lands shall be changed to a reserve for recreation purposes:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in
exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by sub-
section (1) (a) of section 7 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and
National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that the purpose
of the reserves described in the First and Second Schedules hereto
is hereby changed from a site for a public pound and for an Agri-
cultural and Pastoral Society’s showground, respectively, to a
reserve for recreation purposes.

SECTIONS 5 to 8 (inclusive), Block II, Town of Manuherikia: Area,

Vesting Control of Reserves Under the Tourist and Health Resorts
Control Act, 1908

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 27th day of
February, 1951

Present:

THE HON. K. J. HOLYOAKE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred
on him by section 5 of the Tourist and Health Resorts Control
Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed the said Act), His Excellency
the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by
and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the
said Dominion, doth hereby vest the control of the recreation
reserves described in the Schedule hereto in the Minister of the
Crown for the time being having the administration of the said
Act, and doth hereby declare that the said reserves shall be
administered under the said Act.

SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL that area containing by admeasurement 10 acres 1 rood 28
perches, more or less, being part of Lot 2, on a plan deposited in
the Land Registry Office at Auckland under No. 23567, being part
of Section 10, Block I, Tarawera Survey District, and being part
of the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title, Volume
621, folio 156 (Auckland Registry). (South Auckland S.O. plan 35108.)

Also all that area situated in Blocks IV and VIII, Horohoro
Survey District, and Block I, Tarawera Survey District, containing
by admeasurement 76 acres 3 roods 32 perches, more or less, being
part of Lot 2, on a plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at
Auckland under No. 23567, being part of Section 32, Suburbs of
Rotorua, and part of Section 10, Block I, Tarawera Survey District,
and being part of the land comprised and described in Certificate
of Title, Volume 621, folio 156 (Auckland Registry). (South Auck-
land S.O. plan 35108.)

Also Sections 123 and 124, Suburbs of Rotorua, situated in

Revoking the Vesting of the Control of a Reserve in the Matakitaiki
Public Hall Board

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 27th day
of February, 1951

Present:

THE HON. K. J. HOLYOAKE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

WHEREAS the control of the land described in the Schedule
hereto was vested in the Matakitaiki Public Hall Board as
a reserve for a public hall site by an Order in Council dated the
20th day of February, 1947, and published in the New Zealand
Gazette of the 27th day of that month, in pursuance of section 17 of
the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928:

And whereas it is expedient that the said Order in Council
should be revoked:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in
pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred
upon him by section 17 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and
National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby revoke the Order in Council
hereinbefore referred to.

Reserves in South Auckland Land District Brought Under the
Tourist and Health Resorts Control Act, 1908

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 27th day of
February, 1951

Present:

THE HON. K. J. HOLYOAKE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

BY virtue of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by
section 6 of the Tourist and Health Resorts Control Act,
1908, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
do hereby order and declare that the reserves for recreation purposes
in the South Auckland Land District, described in the Schedule
hereto, shall be and the same are hereby brought under the operation
of and declared to be subject to the provisions of the Tourist and
Health Resorts Control Act, 1908; and such reserves shall hereafter
be managed, administered, and dealt with in manner directed by
the said Act.
