RESOLUTION
THE following regulations were laid before the members of the Waimate Trotting Club Incorporated at a meeting held on the 14th day of November, 1950, at Waimate, with a recommendation by the Chairman of such club, Mr. Dominic Keyes, that the same be passed at once with a view to their approval by His Excellency the Governor-General in pursuance of the Gaming Act, 1908, section 33.
Mr. Dominic Keyes, the Chairman of such club and the meeting, moved, and Mr. Charles David Wilson seconded, and it was resolved that such regulations should be adopted and that the Chairman and Secretary be authorized to sign the same in authentication thereof.
The following are the regulations referred to:—
WAIMATE TROTTING CLUB INCORPORATED
REGULATIONS
(Under the Gaming Act, 1908)
In pursuance and exercise of the powers in that behalf contained in section 33 of the Gaming Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities it enabling in that behalf, the Waimate Trotting Club Incorporated, a racing club within the meaning of the said Act (hereinafter referred to as the said club) doth hereby make the following regulations controlling the admission of persons to that part of the Waimate Racecourse, situated in the district of Waimate and known as the Waimate Racecourse, while the said racecourse is used or occupied by the said club for race meetings.

These regulations shall come into force on the date of the same being published in the New Zealand Gazette.

In these regulations the words "bookmaker," "racing club," and "race meeting" shall have the meanings ascribed to those terms respectively by section 2 of the Gaming Act, 1908.

The following persons shall be and are hereby excluded from the racecourse above described while the same is used or occupied by the said club for a race meeting, namely:—
(a) Bookmakers:
(b) Bookmakers' clerks, bookmakers' assistants, and bookmakers' agents:
(c) All persons under disqualification inflicted by any racing or trotting club in the Dominion of New Zealand, the Commonwealth of Australia, or elsewhere if affiliated to the New Zealand Racing Conference, or the New Zealand Trotting Conference, or the New Zealand Trotting Association:
(d) Common prostitutes and persons who habitually consort with thieves or persons who have no lawful visible means of support:
(e) Professional tipsters, persons convicted of house-breaking or pocket picking, forgery, uttering or possessing counterfeit coin, theft, false pretences, receiving stolen goods, mischief, assault, or any offence or crime of any kind under the Crimes Act, 1908, and also idle and disorderly persons, rogues, and vagabonds, and incorrigible rogues convicted under the Police Offences Act, 1908, and persons convicted of an offence under the Gaming Act, 1908:
Provided always that the Executive Committee appointed by the New Zealand Racing Conference, upon being satisfied by evidence as to character and otherwise that any person who, by reason of any conviction, comes within the scope of this regulation, should have relief from the effect thereof, may grant exemption to any such person, and may at any time revoke any such exemption without notice to such person, and without assigning any reason for such revocation.
The foregoing regulations of the Waimate Trotting Club Incorporated were made and passed by such club on the 14th day of November, 1950, and signed by the Chairman and Secretary.

LOWER HUTT CITY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR A PUBLIC WORK
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, and its amendments, to execute a public work—to wit, the creation of a service lane in the City of Lower Hutt—and for the purpose of such public work the piece of land more particularly described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken: And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited at the offices of the Lower Hutt City Council at the corner of High Street and Laings Road, Lower Hutt, and is there open for inspection: And notice is hereby further given that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said piece of land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said piece of land, set forth the same in writing and send such writing within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the Lower Hutt City Corporation, at its offices, corner High Street and Laings Road, Lower Hutt.
SCHEDULE
ALL that piece of land situate in the City of Lower Hutt containing one and eighty-six one-hundredths perches (1.86 percs.), be the same a little more or less, being part Section 25 of the Hutt District, and being part of Lot 5 on Deposited Plan No. 6494 and part of the land contained in Certificate of Title, Volume 324, folio 41, Wellington Registry, as the same is more particularly shown on the plan above referred to deposited at the offices of the Lower Hutt City Corporation and thereon coloured yellow.

Notice of Meeting of Creditors
NOTICE is hereby given that a meeting of Plowmans (1944), Limited, will be held on Monday, the 11th day of December, 1950, at which an extraordinary resolution for voluntary winding-up is to be proposed: And that a meeting of the creditors of the said company will be held, pursuant to section 234 of the Companies Act, 1933, at the offices of Messrs. Retemeyer, Edgley, and Chapman, Public Accountants, Church Street, Napier, on Monday, the 11th day of December, 1950, at 3 o'clock in the afternoon, at which meeting a full statement of the position of the company's affairs together with a list of the creditors and the estimated amount of their claims will be laid before the meeting, and at which meeting the creditors, in pursuance of section 235 of the said Act, may nominate a person to be the liquidator of the company, and in pursuance of section 236 of the said Act, may appoint a committee of inspection.

NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of the above-named company, duly convened and held on the 20th day of November, 1950, the following special resolution was duly passed:
"Resolved that as the company by reason of its liabilities cannot continue its business and it is advisable to wind up the same, the company go into voluntary liquidation forthwith, and that Mr. D. R. HOOPER, of Auckland, Public Accountant, be appointed liquidator."
I hereby fix the 31st day of December, 1950, as the day on or before which the creditors of the company are to prove their debts or claims, and to establish any title they may have to priority under section 258 of the Companies Act, 1933, or to be excluded from the benefit of any distribution made before such debts are proved, or as the case may be, from objecting to such distribution.
