Revoking Appointment of the Borough of Petone as a Borough in Which a Magistrate’s Court May be Held

WHEREAS by an instrument dated the 22nd day of February, 1949, published in the New Zealand Gazette on the 24th day of the same month at page 629, the Borough of Petone was appointed, pursuant to section 4 of the Magistrates’ Courts Act, 1947, as a Borough in which a Magistrate’s Court might be held for the exercise of criminal jurisdiction, and the Magistrate’s Court held in the said Borough of Petone was authorized to deal with matters under the Destitute Persons Act, 1910, or under any rules and regulations made under that Act:
And whereas by an instrument dated the 18th day of January, 1950, published in the New Zealand Gazette on the 26th day of the same month at page 55, the said Magistrate’s Court at Petone was authorized to deal with matters arising under the Imprisonment for Debt Limitations Act, 1908, or under any rules made with respect to Magistrates’ Courts pursuant to section 2 of that Act:
And whereas it is expedient to revoke the said appointment and the said authorizations:
Now, therefore, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting pursuant to subsection (5) of section 4 of the Magistrates’ Courts Act, 1947, do hereby revoke the said appointment and the said authorizations and declare that this revocation shall take effect on and after the 18th day of November, 1950.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, this 28th day of October, 1950.

Land Reserved in the Nelson Land District

WHEREAS by section 167 of the Land Act, 1948, it is enacted that the Governor-General may from time to time set apart as a reserve, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral lease or pastoral occupation licence, any Crown land for any purpose which, in his opinion, is desirable in the public interest, and notice thereof shall be published in the New Zealand Gazette:
Now, therefore, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the said Act, do hereby reserve the land in the Nelson Land District, described in the Schedule hereto, for recreation purposes.

SECTION 9, Block XI, Tadmor Survey District: Area, 5 acres 1 rood 28 perches, more or less.

Notice of Intention to Issue an Order in Council Changing the Reservation Over Portion of the Mount Roskill Domain, North Auckland Land District

WHEREAS by section 41 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), it is provided that the Governor-General may from time to time, by Order in Council, but subject to compliance with the requirements of subsection (2) of section 7 of the said Act, declare that the land comprised in a public domain or part thereof shall cease to be subject to Part II of the said Act; and, further, may declare either that such land shall be a public reserve for the purposes of Part I of the said Act, or Crown land available for the disposal by way of sale for cash under the Land Act, 1948:
And whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto is portion of the Mount Roskill Domain but is not required for domain purposes, and it is expedient to change the purpose of the reservation over the said land to a reserve for a kindergarten site:
Now, therefore, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby give notice, pursuant to subsection (2) of section 7 of the said Act, that it is my intention to issue an Order in Council under the provisions of section 41 of the said Act declaring that the portion of the Mount Roskill Domain described in the Schedule hereto shall cease to be subject to Part II of the said Act, and shall be deemed to be a reserve for a kindergarten site.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—PORTION OF MOUNT ROSKILL DOMAIN
ALL that area situated in Block IV, Titirangi Survey District, containing by admeasurement 2 roods 27 perches, more or less, being part Lot 113 on a plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at Auckland under No. 16446, being part Allotment 121 of Section 10, Suburbs of Auckland. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/6/908A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Appointing the Panmure Township Road Board to be a Responsible Authority Within the Meaning of the Town-planning Act, 1926, for the Panmure Township Road District

WHEREAS the Panmure Township Road District (hereinafter called the District) is part of the County of Eden in which the Counties Act, 1920, is suspended:
And whereas I am of opinion that because of the rate of development of the district an extra-urban planning scheme should be prepared for the district:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in me by section 24 of the Town-planning Act, 1926, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint the
Panmure Township Road Board
to be the responsible authority within the meaning of the Town-planning Act, 1926, for that part of the County of Eden comprising the Panmure Township Road District.
