APPOINTMENT OF DEPUTY CHAIRMAN OF THE GOVERNMENT SERVICE TRIBUNAL

Pursuant to section 4 of the Government Service Tribunal Act, 1948, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, appoint Osborne Gunning Stevens, Esquire, a Deputy Judge of the Court of Arbitration, to act in the place of the Chairman of the Government Service Tribunal during the absence of the Chairman between the 15th day of November, 1950, and the 24th day of December, 1950.

Member Appointed to the Kumara Junction Public Hall Board

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 15th day of November, 1950
Present:
THE HON. K. J. HOLYOAKE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS by an Order in Council dated the 17th day of August, 1949, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 18th day of that month, the control of the land described in the Schedule to that document, being a reserve for a site for a public hall was vested in certain persons therein named, who were by the said Order in Council constituted a special Board, by the name of the Kumara Junction Public Hall Board, in pursuance of section 17 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928:
And whereas it is desirable that Walter Henry Haybittle should be appointed a member of the said Board in place of Ernest Reginald Frew, resigned:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 17 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby appoint the said Walter Henry Haybittle to be a member of the Kumara Junction Public Hall Board constituted by the Order in Council dated the 17th day of August, 1949, hereinbefore referred to, in place of the said Ernest Reginald Frew, resigned.

Domain Board Appointed to Have Control of the Birchville Domain

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 15th day of November, 1950
Present:
THE HON. K. J. HOLYOAKE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke an Order in Council dated the 10th day of December, 1941, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 11th day of that month appointing a Domain Board to have control of the Birchville Domain, and doth hereby appoint The Hutt County Council to be the Birchville Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby appoint Wednesday, the 29th day of November, 1950, at 2 o'clock p.m., as the time when, and the County Chambers, Bowen House, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

SCHEDULE
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.--BIRCHVILLE DOMAIN
ALL those areas situated in Block XIV, Akatarawa Survey District, containing by admeasurement a total of 6 acres 3 roods 21·56 perches, more or less, and described as follows:— Sections 1, 22, 23, and 24, Block I, and Section 33, Block II, Town of Birchville Extension No. 4: Area, 5 acres and 22·56 perches, more or less. (S.O. plan 18938.)
Also all that area containing by admeasurement 1 acre and 36·2 perches, more or less, being Lot 29 on a plan lodged in the Deeds Registry Office at Wellington under No. 609, being part Section 174, Hutt District.

Also all that area containing by admeasurement 20 perches, more or less, being Lot 33 on a plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at Wellington under No. 12486, being part Section 354, Hutt District, subject to water rights created or granted by Transfer No. 94625 in favour of the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Upper Hutt.
Also all that area containing by admeasurement 1 rood 22·8 perches, more or less, being part Section 355, Hutt District, and part of a closed road, marked “Recreation Reserve” on a plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at Wellington under No. 8723.
As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1/1091E, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Domain Board Appointed to Have Control of the Waipiro Bay Domain

THE HON. K. J. HOLYOAKE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section 44 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint Edward Harrison, James Edward Morrissey, Jack Fleming Williamson, Waldo Samuel Thompson, Wiremu Tuhoro McIlroy, Hone Hurumanu, David Benjamin Theodore Harvey, Hoki Fox, and Enoka Toheriri to be the Waipiro Bay Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby appoint Saturday, the 9th day of December, 1950; at 2.30 o'clock p.m., as the time when, and the Waipiro Bay Public Library as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

GISBORNE LAND DISTRICT.—WAIPIRO BAY DOMAIN
Section 12, Block VII, Waipiro Maori Township, situated in Block XII, Mata Survey District: Area, 7 acres 1 rood 2 perches, more or less. (S.O. plan 4622.)

Changing the Purpose of a Reserve in Block XIII, Mangahao Survey District, Wellington Land District

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is a reserve for gravel purposes:
And whereas it is expedient that the purpose of the reservation over such land shall be changed to a reserve for a site for a public hall:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection (1) (a) of section 7 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that the purpose of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto is hereby changed from a reserve for gravel purposes to a reserve for a site for a public hall.

SECTION 7, Block XIII, Mangahao Survey District: Area, 3 acres 2 roods, more or less.
