ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 8th day of November, 1950
Present:
THE RIGHT HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to section 5 of the Maori Purposes Act, 1937, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby set apart and reserve the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto as a Maori reservation for the common use of the Maori residents of the Waotu District and their descendants, as a burial-ground.
SCHEDULE
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, situate in Block XVI of the Maungatautari Survey District, containing by admeasurement 2 acres, more or less, being the Maori Land Court subdivision known as Waotu North 2I. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan numbered M.L. 5221, deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, at Auckland, and thereon edged red.

Pursuant to section 167 of the Maori Land Act, 1931, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby vary an Order in Council made on the 4th day of April, 1932, and published in the New Zealand Gazette on the 7th day of April, 1932, at page 735, and affecting Hauturu East B 2 Section 2A 1A and other blocks by excluding therefrom the lands described in the Schedule hereto.

Exempting Land in the Taranaki Land District From the Operation of Part III of the Coal-mines Act, 1925

In pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by subsection (2) of section 171 of the Coal-mines Act, 1925, and all other powers and authorities enabling me in this behalf, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be exempt from the operation of Part III of the Coal-mines Act, 1925, and do hereby further declare that this notice shall take effect as from the date of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette.
SCHEDULE
ALL that area of land in the Taranaki Land District containing by admeasurement 1 rood, more or less, situated in the Ohura Town District, being Section No. 4 of Block XII of the Town of Ohura, and being all the land in Certificate of Title, Volume 151, folio 86, Taranaki Land Registry.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 1st day of November, 1950.

Honorary Inspector of Scenic Reserves Appointed

In pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section 4 of the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Henry Whitaker Martin to be an Honorary Inspector under the said Act.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 10th day of November, 1950.
