NOTICE is hereby given, in pursuance of section 241 of the Companies Act, 1933, that a general meeting of the above-named company will be held at the offices of Messrs. Elliot, Holden, and Grant, Solicitors, Yorkshire House, Shortland Street, Auckland, at 11.30 a.m. on 23rd February, 1950, for the purpose of having an account laid before the meeting showing the manner in which the winding-up has been conducted, and the property of the company disposed of, and of hearing any explanation that may be given by the liquidator, and also of determining by extraordinary resolution the manner in which the books, accounts, and documents of the company and of the liquidator thereof shall be disposed of.

ENTRIES in minute-book in lieu of meeting pursuant to section 300 of the Companies Act, 1933:—
“1. Resolved that the company cannot by reason of its liabilities continue its business and that it is advisable to wind up and that the company be wound up voluntarily.
“2. Resolved that in pursuance of section 235 of the Companies Act, 1933, Mr. H. M. McElroy, Public Accountant, of Auckland, be nominated by the company as liquidator of the company.”
Notice is hereby given that a meeting of creditors of the said company will be held in the office, 31A Fort Street, Auckland, on Friday, 27th January, 1950, at 3 p.m. for the purpose of receiving a statement of the position of the company’s affairs and appointing a liquidator or, if thought fit, confirming the appointment of the shareholders’ nominee, and of appointing a committee of inspection.

HUTT COUNTY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND UNDER THE PUBLIC WORKS ACT, 1928
NOTICE is hereby given that the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Hutt requires to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for a public work—namely, for sanitary works within the meaning of the Health Act, 1920. All persons affected by such taking are hereby required to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the execution of such work or to the taking of such land and to send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to County Clerk, Hutt County Council, at his office in Bowen House, Bowen Street, Wellington.
SCHEDULE
THAT piece of land containing thirty-nine perches and fifty-one one-hundredths of a perch (39·51 perches), more or less, being part of Section 31, Harbour District, Block XVI, Belmont Survey District, and being Lots 5, 6, 7, on D.P. 1694, and being also all the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Vol. 498, folio 171 (Wellington Registry).

HAWKE’S BAY EDUCATION BOARD
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
NOTICE is hereby given that the Education Board of the District of Hawke’s Bay proposes to execute a certain work—namely, to enlarge the site of the public school in Church Road, Taradale—and for the purpose of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken: And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited at the said school and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary school hours. All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such land who have any well-grounded objection to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land must state their objections in writing and send the same, within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice, to the Secretary to the Board at his office at the Intermediate School, Jull Street, Napier.
SCHEDULE
AREA of land required to be taken: 3 roods 8·6 perches.
Being part of Lot 21 on D.P. 50, part Meeanee Suburban Section No. 63.
Situated in the Town District of Taradale; as the same is more particularly delineated on S.O. Plan 2389, deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Napier, and thereon coloured orange.

PURSUANT to section 222 of the Companies Act, 1933, notice is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of the above-named company, duly convened and held on the 23rd day of January, 1950, the following special resolution was duly passed:—
“1. That the venture for which the company was established having been completed and the event having occurred on the occurrence of which the memo andum of association of the company provides that the company shall be wound up, the company accordingly be wound up voluntarily.
“2. That Mr. CHARLES ALBERT STAPLES be appointed liquidator of the company.”

Notice is hereby given that unless within thirty days from date hereof there is made to the company some claim or representation in respect of the said original certificate, a new certificate will be issued in place thereof.
