Central Hawke’s Bay Electric-power Board Reticulation Loan, £50,000, 1950

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and all other powers, if any, it thereunto enabling, the Central Hawke’s Bay Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows:—

“ That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest and principal and other charges on a loan of fifty thousand pounds (£50,000), authorized to be raised by the Central Hawke’s Bay Electric-power Board, pursuant to the provisions of section 15 of the Finance Act (No. 2), 1936, for the purpose of the further reticulation of the Board’s area, the said Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of thirty-two two hundred and thirds of one penny in the pound (³²²⁄₃ of 1d. in the £) on the rateable value on the basis of the unimproved value of all rateable property in the Central Hawke’s Bay Electric-power Board district, and such rate shall be an annually recurring rate throughout the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan or until the loan is fully paid off.”

We certify that the above is a true and correct extract from the minutes of the Central Hawke’s Bay Electric-power Board at a meeting held on Thursday, 26th January, 1950, and at which the resolution was duly passed.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and all other powers thereunto enabling it the Manawatu County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

“ That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of principal and interest and other charges on a loan of two thousand three hundred pounds (£2,300), authorized to be raised by the Manawatu County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of redeeming at maturity the outstanding liability in respect of portion, £4,000, of the Main Highways Reconstruction Loan 1925, £60,000, the said Manawatu County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one thirty-second of a penny (¹⁄₃₂d.) in the pound on the rateable value of all rateable property in the County of Manawatu, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable annually on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify the above resolution was passed at a properly constituted meeting of the Manawatu County Council held on the 12th day of April, 1940.
