ments in the Public Service :—

William George Wood
to be Registrar and Bailiff of the Magistrates' Court at Winton
for the purpose of the Magistrates' Courts Act, 1947, the Maintenance
Officer at the Magistrates' Court at Winton for the purposes of the
Destitute Persons Amendment Act, 1926, on and from the 1st
day of August, 1950.

Owen Talbot Grattan
to be Maintenance Officer at the Magistrates' Court at Wellington
for the purposes of the Destitute Persons Amendment Act, 1926,
on and from the 7th day of July, 1950.

Ronald John Wright
to be Bailiff of the Magistrates' Court at Rawene for the purposes
of the Magistrates' Courts Act, 1947, on and from the 3rd day of
July, 1950.

Alexander Stewart Ward
to be Registrar and Bailiff of the Magistrates' Court at Kaeo for
the purposes of the Magistrates' Courts Act, 1947, and Maintenance
Officer at the Magistrates' Court at Kaeo for the purposes of the
Destitute Persons Amendment Act, 1926, on and from the 25th
day of July, 1950.

George Innes
to be Registrar and Bailiff of the Magistrates' Court at Alexandra
for the purposes of the Magistrates' Courts Act, 1947, Clerk and
Bailiff of the Wardens Court at Alexandra for the purposes of the
Mining Act, 1926, and Maintenance Officer at the Magistrates'

The Servicemen's Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943.—Notice of
Intention to Take Lands

THE Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of section 24 of the
Servicemen's Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943, hereby
gives notice of his intention to take the lands described in the
Schedule hereto under Part II of the said Act, and specifies the 1st
day of June, 1951, as the date on which possession of the land
is required, and the 31st day of August, 1950, as the date on or
before which objections may be made under section 25 of the said
Act.

SCHEDULE
SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL that parcel of land containing by admeasurement one (1) rood,
more or less, being all of the land on Deposited Plan 18177, being
part of Allotment 2 of Section 35, Block I, Waihou Survey District,
and being all of the land described in Certificate of Title, Volume
615, folio 280 (Auckland Registry).

Also all that parcel of land containing by admeasurement
sixty-three (63) acres two (2) roods nineteen (19) perches, more or
less, being part of Allotment 2 of Section 35, Block I, Waihou Survey
District, and being all of the land described in Certificate of Title,
Volume 431, folio 108 (Auckland Registry), part of the said parcel
being Lot 3 on Deposited Plan 16803.

The Servicemen's Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943.—Notice of
Intention to Take Land and an Interest in Land

THE Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of section 24 of the
Servicemen's Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943, as
extended by the provisions of section 2 of the Servicemen's Settle-
ment and Land Sales Amendment Act, 1948, hereby gives notice of
his intention to take, under Part II of the said Act, the lands
described in the First Schedule hereto, and the interest of the lessee
or licensee in the lands described in the Second Schedule hereto, and
specifies the 1st day of June, 1950, as the date on which possession
of the lands described in the said First and Second Schedules is
required, and the 31st day of August, 1950, as the date on or before
which objections may be made under section 25 of the said Act.

FIRST SCHEDULE
SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL that parcel of land containing by admeasurement two hundred
(200) acres, more or less, being Section 11, Block X, Wharekawa
Survey District, and being all of the land described in Certificate
of Title, Volume 910, folio 77 (Auckland Registry).

Also all that parcel of land containing by admeasurement one
hundred and twenty-two (122) acres three (3) roods thirty-six (36)
perches, more or less, being Section 11, Block VII, Piako Survey
District, and being all of the land described in Certificate of Title,
Volume 726, folio 252 (Auckland Registry).

Also all that parcel of land situated in Block III, Piako Survey
District, containing by admeasurement three (3) acres two (2) roods
twenty-eight decimal three (28.3) perches, more or less, being part
Waitakaruru No. 1A No. 1A Block, and being all of the land described
in Certificate of Title, Volume 660, folio 162 (Auckland Registry).

Also all that parcel of land situated in Block III, Piako Survey
District, and Block IX, Wharekawa Survey District, containing by
admeasurement one hundred and fifteen (115) acres two (2) roods
four (4) perches, more or less, being Lot 1 on Deposited Plan 25346,
being part Waitakaruru No. 2D Block, and being all of the land
described in Certificate of Title, Volume 661, folio 73 (Auckland
Registry).

SECOND SCHEDULE
SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL that parcel of land containing by admeasurement one hundred
and eighty-two (182) acres three (3) roods ten (10) perches, more
or less, being Section 14, Block VII, Piako Survey District, and
being all of the land described in the Deferred Payment Licence
comprised in Register Book, Volume 811, folio 15 (Auckland
Registry).

As witness my hand this 25th day of July, 1950.

The Servicemen's Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943.—Revocation
of Notice of Intention to Take Land

WHEREAS, pursuant to section 24 of the Servicemen's Settle-
ment and Land Sales Act, 1943, notice was given of the
intention of the Minister of Lands to take, under Part II of the said
Act the lands described in the Schedule hereto, and a copy of the
said notice was published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 23 on the
29th day of April, 1948, at page 448.

And whereas an objection was made by the owner of the said
land in the manner prescribed by the said Act, objecting to the
taking of the said land.

And whereas the Minister of Lands has decided not to proceed
with action to take the said land.

Now, therefore, the Minister of Lands acting in pursuance of
subsection (4) of section 24 of the said Act, doth hereby revoke
the notice of intention to take the said land.
