ALL that parcel of land containing by admeasurement two thousand three hundred and one (2,301) acres one (1) rood and thirty-nine (39) perches, more or less, situated in Blocks II, III, VI, and VII, Puhi Puhi Survey District, being Lot 3 on Deposited Plan No. 903, and Lots 1, 4, 5, and parts of Lot 3 on Deposited Plan No. 1191, and being also part of Sections 16, 17, 20, 21, 48, 49, 66, 67, 68, 69, 76, 77, and 78, Waipapa District, and Sections 1 and 2, Block VI, Section 2 and part Section 3, Block VII, and Sections 3, 4, and part Sections 1 and 5, Block II, Puhi Puhi Survey District, and being the balance of the land comprised in Certificate of Title, Volume 43, folio 110 (Marlborough Registry).

Also all that parcel of land containing by admeasurement two thousand one hundred and seventy-seven (2,177) acres two (2) roods and twenty decimal four (20·4) perches, more or less, situated in Blocks II, III, VII, and XI, Puhi Puhi Survey District, being Lot 1 on Deposited Plan No. 903, and Lot 2 on Deposited Plan No. 1191, and being also part of Sections 14, 15, 16, 17, 52, 70, 72, 77, 78, and 81, Waipapa District, and parts of Sections 5, Block II, 3 Block III, 1, 4, and 5, Block VII, and 1, Block XI, Puhi Puhi Survey District, and being the balance of the land comprised in Certificate of Title, Volume 43, folio 111 (Marlborough Registry).

The Servicemen’s Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943.—Revocation of Notice of Intention to Take Land


WHEREAS, pursuant to section 24 of the Servicemen’s Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943, notice was given of the intention of the Minister of Lands to take, under Part II of the said Act, the lands described in the Schedule hereto, and a copy of the said notice was published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 23 on the 29th day of April, 1948, at page 448.

And whereas an objection was made by the owner of the said land in the manner prescribed by the said Act, objecting to the taking of the said land.

And whereas the Minister of Lands has decided not to proceed with action to take the said land.

Now, therefore, the Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of subsection (4) of section 24 of the said Act, doth hereby revoke the notice of intention to take the said land.

Waihi Drainage Area: Notice of Making and Levying General Rates


I, ERNEST BOWYER CORBETT, Minister of Lands, in exercise of the powers conferred upon me by the Swamp Drainage Act, 1915, and its amendments, do hereby make and levy, on the unimproved value of all land within the Pukehina Subdivision of the Waihi Drainage Area constituted under the said Act, the general rates described in the First Schedule hereto, and on the unimproved value of all land included in the Central Subdivision the general rate described in the Second Schedule hereto, and on the unimproved value of all land in the Kaikokopu Subdivision the general rates described in the Third Schedule hereto, such respective rates being for the purpose of meeting maintenance costs for the period 1st April, 1950, to 31st March, 1951.

The amount of such rates will be payable in one sum on 30th August, 1950, together with the amount of the special rates already made and levied, to the Collector of Rates, Room 15, First Floor, Government Buildings, Customs Street West, Auckland.

The rate-book will be open for inspection at the office of the Collector of Rates, and a copy of the same will be available for inspection at the office of the Kaituna River Board, Tauranga, at all times at which those offices are open for the transaction of public business.


FIRST SCHEDULE

PUKEHINA SUBDIVISION

General Rates

CLASS A.—On the unimproved value of all land classified as Class A by the persons appointed to classify lands under section 3 of the Swamp Drainage Amendment Act, 1928, twopence and forty-eight one-hundredths of a penny (2·48d.) in the pound.

CLASS C.—On the unimproved value of all land so classified as Class C, one penny and one-tenth of a penny (1·10d.) in the pound.


SECOND SCHEDULE

CENTRAL SUBDIVISION

General Rates

CLASS A.—On the unimproved value of all land classified as Class A by the persons appointed to classify lands under section 3 of the Swamp Drainage Amendment Act, 1928, tenpence and two one-hundredths of a penny (10·02d.) in the pound.


THIRD SCHEDULE

KAIKOKOPU SUBDIVISION

General Rates

CLASS A.—On the unimproved value of all land classified as Class A by the persons appointed to classify lands under section 3 of the Swamp Drainage Amendment Act, 1928, sevenpence and thirty-eight one-hundredths of a penny (7·38d.) in the pound.

CLASS B.—On the unimproved value of all land classified as Class B, fivepence and seventy-four one-hundredths of a penny (5·74d.) in the pound.

CLASS C.—On the unimproved value of all land so classified as Class C, threepence and twenty-eight one-hundredths of a penny (3·28d.) in the pound.

Poukawa Drainage Area: Notice of Making and Levying General Rates


I, ERNEST BOWYER CORBETT, Minister of Lands, in exercise of the powers conferred upon me by the Swamp Drainage Act, 1915, and its amendments, do hereby make and levy on the unimproved value of all lands within the Poukawa Drainage Area, constituted under the said Act, the general rates described in the Schedule hereto, such rates being for the purpose of covering for the period from 1st day of April, 1950, to 31st day of March, 1951, the cost of administration of the said Act, including the maintenance of works constructed under that Act in the said area, and I direct that the said rates (together with the annually recurring special rates already made and levied) will be payable in one sum on 30th day of August, 1950, to the Collector of Rates, Room 15, First Floor, Government Buildings, Customs Street West, Auckland.

The rate-book is open for inspection at the office of the Collector of Rates, and a copy of the same is available for inspection at the office of the Commissioner of Crown Lands, Post-office Building, Napier, at all times at which those offices are open for the transaction of public business.


SCHEDULE

CLASS A.—On the unimproved value of all land classified as Class A by the persons appointed to classify lands under section 3 of the Swamp Drainage Amendment Act, 1928, thirteen pence and twenty-five one-hundredths of a penny (13·25d.) in the pound.

CLASS B.—On the unimproved value of all land so classified as Class B, twopence and twenty-one one-hundredths of a penny (2·21d.) in the pound.

CLASS C.—On the unimproved value of all land so classified as Class C, forty-four one-hundredths of a penny (0·44d.) in the pound.
