HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section 44 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

His Worship the Mayor of Featherston, ex officio,
His Worship the Mayor of Martinborough, ex officio,
Frances William Smith,
Walter Askin Tate,
Oswald Jansen,
Bruce Buchanan Donald,
Norman Charles Campbell Shepherd,
Andrew McIvor, and
William James McGill

to be the Wairarapa Lake Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby appoint Thursday, the 7th day of September, 1950, at 7.30 o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the Oddfellows’ Hall, Featherston, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

Members of Tobacco Board Appointed

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred by section 3 (1) of the Tobacco-growing Industry Act, 1935, I, Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby reappoint—

John Gershon Lisman, and
Thomas Frederick Varley

as representatives of manufacturers, and

Kossuth John Newman

as representative of growers, all of whom retired on the 31st July, 1950, in pursuance of section 4 of the above Act, and appoint

Wilfred Cyril Wills

as representative of growers in place of Martin Henry Thorn, who, in pursuance of the said section 4, retired on 31st July, 1950.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 9th day of August, 1950.

Revoking Appointment of Trustees for Minniesdale Cemetery

PURSUANT to the Cemeteries Act, 1908, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke the Warrant of the 8th day of January, 1945, published in the New Zealand Gazette on the 18th day of January, 1945, at page 37, whereby the several persons named in the Second Schedule thereto were appointed trustees to have the maintenance and care of the Minniesdale Cemetery.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 8th day of August, 1950.

Captain H. M. Evans, M.B.E., E.D., 13th Composite Anti-aircraft Regiment, R.N.Z.A., is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, General List, The Royal N.Z. Artillery, with the rank of Captain, with seniority from 20th September, 1938. Dated 8th May, 1950.

Temp. Captain M. F. Bunker, 13th Composite Anti-aircraft Regiment, R.N.Z.A., is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, General List, The Royal N.Z. Artillery, with the rank of Captain, with seniority from 2nd April, 1943. Dated 24th May, 1950.

Temp. 2nd Lieutenant A. J. Grinter, 13th Composite Anti-aircraft Regiment, R.N.Z.A., resigns his commission. Dated 8th May, 1950.

David William Robinson, late Pilot Officer, R.N.Z.A.F., to be 2nd Lieutenant, with seniority from 3rd April, 1948, and is posted to the 13th Composite Anti-aircraft Regiment, R.N.Z.A. Dated 3rd December, 1949.

2nd Lieutenant D. W. Robinson, 13th Composite Anti-aircraft Regiment, R.N.Z.A., to be Lieutenant. Dated 3rd April, 1950.

THE ROYAL N.Z. ARMOURED CORPS

Territorial Force—

Major I. T. Galloway, 1st Armoured Car Regiment (New Zealand Scottish), R.N.Z.A.C., is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Regimental List, 1st Armoured Car Regiment (New Zealand Scottish), R.N.Z.A.C., with the rank of Major, with seniority from 24th October, 1947. Dated 20th June, 1950.

Lieutenant J. M. Galloway, 1st Armoured Car Regiment (New Zealand Scottish), R.N.Z.A.C., is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Regimental List, 1st Armoured Car Regiment (New Zealand Scottish), R.N.Z.A.C., with the rank of Lieutenant, with seniority from 15th July, 1944.
