A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 29 of the Public Works Amendment Act, 1948, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as closed the portions of street described in the Schedule hereto.

Closed Street in the Borough of Newmarket Added to the Newmarket Domain

PURSUANT to subsection (5) of section 29 of the Public Works Amendment Act, 1948, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare the land, being closed street, described in the First Schedule hereto, to be added to the Newmarket Domain, described in the Second Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of closed street : 38.26 perches. Being Allotment 39, Section 4, Suburbs of Auckland, formerly adjoining or passing through part Allotment 32, Section 4, Suburbs of Auckland.
Situated in Block VIII, Rangitoto Survey District (Borough of Newmarket), (Auckland R.D.). (S.O. 33625.)
In the North Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 131273, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon edged red.
SECOND SCHEDULE
NEWMARKET DOMAIN
ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District situated in Block VIII, Rangitoto Survey District, containing by admeasurement 3 roods 34.11 perches, more or less, being parts of Allotment 32, Section 4, Suburbs of Auckland, Borough of Newmarket.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 14th day of June, 1950.

Declaring Addington Reformatory for Women no Longer a Prison
[L.S.] B. C. FREYBERG, Governor-General A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS in pursuance of the powers vested in him by section 4 of the Prisons Act, 1908, the Governor-General did, by Proclamation dated the 24th day of May, 1949, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 2nd day of June, 1949, declare the buildings erected on the land described in the Schedule thereto, and all enclosures used or occupied therewith, to be a prison, known as the Addington Reformatory for Women:
And whereas in pursuance of the powers aforesaid, the Governor-General may from time to time by Proclamation declare that any prison shall no longer be a prison:
Now, therefore, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance of the powers vested in me by section 4 of the Prisons Act, 1908, do hereby declare that the prison proclaimed as aforesaid, known as the Addington Reformatory for Women, shall no longer be a prison.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 21st day of June, 1950.

Appointing Trustees for the Management of Part of the Foreshore at Paremata
B. C. FREYBERG, Governor-General ORDER IN COUNCIL At the Government House at Wellington, this 14th day of , June, 1950
Present :
His EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS by Order in Council dated the 26th day of April, 1938, and published in Gazette No. 34 of the 5th day of the following month, at page 1062, James Andrews, Thomson Bruce, Joseph Foster, and Thomas Isbister (as trustees for the fishermen of the district), were licensed to use and occupy a part of the foreshore at Paremata as a site for the cleaning and painting of fishing boats: And whereas Thomson Bruce and Thomas Isbister have died and James Andrews and Joseph Foster have resigned as trustees and it is desirable to appoint some persons to replace those trustees: Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the Harbours Act, 1923, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint Ian Kirk, Wilfred Thomas McManaway, and William James Muir, all of Paremata, to act as trustees for the fishermen of the district for the management of the said site at Paremata in place of the said Thomson Bruce, Thomas Isbister, James Andrews, and Joseph Foster.

His EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the additional land described in the Schedule hereto being taken for a Public School.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of additional land permitted to be taken : 3 roods 8.6 perches. Being part Lot 21, Deeds Plan 50, and being part Meeanee Suburban Section 63.
Situated in the Town District of Taradale (Hawke's Bay R.D.). (S.O. 2389.)
In the Hawke's Bay Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 131635, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured orange.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby direct the sale of the land described in the Schedule hereto, such land being no longer required for the purpose for which it was acquired.
