A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-
General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that
the leasehold estate in the land described in the Schedule hereto,
held from His Majesty the King by Daniel James Coughlan, of
Waipukurau, Dairy-farmer, under and by virtue of a deed of lease
dated the llth day of March, 1941, is hereby taken for soil-conservation
and river-control purposes, and shall vest in the Hawke's Bay
Catchment Board as from the date hereinafter mentioned; and I
do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after
the 29th day of May, 1950.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land in respect of which the lease-
hold estate is taken: 123 acres.
Being part of the Tuki Tuki River Bed and being part of a Railway
Ballast Reserve.

to the Land Act, 1948.
