THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE

The ballot will be held at the District Lands and Survey Office,
Dunedin, at 2 o'clock p.m. on Wednesday, 14th June, 1950, and
persons who so wish may attend.
The successful applicant is required to pay, immediately on
notification of result of ballot, a deposit comprising the first half-
year's rent or deposit on deferred payments, broken-period rent,
and lease or licence fee, or the purchase-price of the property plus
title fee. In addition the amount of weighting for improvements
is to be paid in cash.

roadways constructed while used as a camp-site reduce arable
area available.
NOTE.-Preference will be given to applicants who own un-
economic properties in the vicinity or who are contractors or farm
workers in the district requiring an additional source of income.
Applicants who are in either of these categories and who are ex-
servicemen will receive preference.
