APPLICATION FOR LICENCE FOR A WATER-RACE
UNDER THE MINING ACT, 1926
To the Warden of the Otago Mining District at Naseby.
PURSUANT to the Mining Act, 1926, the undersigned Stewart Avery Browning Blakely, of Kokonga, Farmer, hereby applies for a licence for a water-race, as specified in the Schedule hereto, the course whereof has been duly marked out for the purpose.

LOCALITY of the race, and of its starting and terminal points; also description of land traversed—e.g., unalienated Crown land, private land, or otherwise: Commencing in applicant's Section 12, Block VII, Swinburn District, at a point in Swinburn Creek about 20 chains south of the northern boundary of said Section 12, and running thence in said Section 12 in a southerly direction a distance of 20 chains, the said land being private land.
Length and intended course of race: 20 chains southerly.
Points of intake: One, in Swinburn Creek.
Estimated time and cost of construction: Constructed.
Mean depth and breadth: 1 ft. by 1 ft.
Number of heads to be diverted: Half head.
Purpose for which water is to be used: Domestic.
Proposed term of licence: Twenty-one years.

DUNEDIN CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Security for Conversion Loan Ninth Repayment Loan, 1950, of £95,500
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Act, 1932–33, and the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers in that behalf enabling it, the Dunedin City Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £95,500, authorized to be raised by the Dunedin City Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of repaying portion of the City of Dunedin Conversion Loan, 1934, the said Dunedin City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one halfpenny (½d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value, on the basis of the annual value, of all rateable property of the City of Dunedin, comprising the whole of the said city; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first (1st) day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of three (3) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of the resolution passed by the Dunedin City Council on the abovementioned date.
