DUNEDIN DRAINAGE AND SEWERAGE BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Security for Conversion Loan Second Repayment Loan, 1950, of £197,000
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Act, 1932–33, and the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers in that behalf enabling it, the Dunedin Drainage and Sewerage Board hereby resolves as follows :—
“ That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £197,000, authorized to be raised by the Dunedin Drainage and Sewerage Board under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of repaying portion of the Dunedin Drainage and Sewerage Board Conversion Loan, 1934, the said Dunedin Drainage and Sewerage Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny (ld.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property of the Board's district, comprising the whole of the City of Dunedin and the Borough of St. Kilda ; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first (1st) day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of three (3) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of the resolution passed by the Dunedin Drainage and Sewerage Board on the above-mentioned date.

CANVASTOWN CO-OPERATIVE DAIRY COMPANY, LIMITED
IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION
TAKE notice that the above company duly passed the following special resolution on the 12th day of December, 1949 :—
“ 1. That the company be wound-up voluntarily.
“ 2. That Mr. THOMAS ADRIAN CLOUGHLEY, of Canvastown, Manager, be and he is hereby appointed as liquidator of the company.
“ 3. That the remuneration of the liquidator shall be £250.”

TAURANGA COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Roads Improvement Loan, 1949, £124,425
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the Tauranga County Council hereby resolves as follows :—
“ That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on the loan of £124,425, authorized to be raised by the Tauranga County Council under the above-mentioned Act for road-improvement works, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one and one-half pence in the pound upon the rateable (unimproved) value of all rateable property of the whole of the County of Tauranga, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of March and the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of fifteen years or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Tauranga County Council held on the 12th day of December, 1949.

TAURANGA COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Workers' Dwellings Loan, 1949, £9,000
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the Tauranga County Council hereby resolves as follows :—
“ That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £9,000, authorized to be raised by the Tauranga County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of constructing workers’ dwellings, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three-fortieths of one penny in the pound upon the rateable (unimproved) value of all rateable property of the whole of the County of Tauranga, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of March and the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty-five years or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Tauranga County Council held on the 12th day of December, 1949.

PALMERSTON NORTH CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Conversion Loan, 1949, £5,400
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by Part II of the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Act, 1932–33, and section 20 of the Finance Act (No. 2), 1935, and the Palmerston North City Council Loan Conversion Order 1949, the Palmerston North City Council hereby resolves as follows :—
“ That, for the purpose of providing the half-yearly instalments of principal and interest in respect of the new securities authorized to be issued by the Palmerston North City Council under the abovementioned Acts, the said Palmerston North City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of six one-hundredths pence in the pound upon the rateable value on the basis of the unimproved value of all rateable property within its district, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such securities, and be payable in each and every year on the 1st day of July until the last maturity date of such securities, being the 1st day of December, 1956, or until all such securities are fully paid off.”
Dated at Palmerston North, this 19th day of December, 1949.

WAIPAWA COUNTY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
NOTICE is hereby given that the Waipawa County Council proposes to execute a certain public work—namely, to provide a road ; and for such road the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken : And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited at the offices of the Waipawa County Council, Ruataniwha Street, Waipawa, and is open for inspection without fee by all persons during office hours. All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such land, who have any well-grounded objection to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land, must state their objections in writing and send the same within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice to the Waipawa County Council at its offices in Ruataniwha Street, Waipawa.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CLOSE ROAD
NOTICE is hereby given that the Waipawa County Council proposes to close the road described in the Schedule hereto : And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the road so proposed to be closed is deposited at the offices of the Waipawa County Council, Ruataniwha Street, Waipawa, and is open for inspection without fee by all persons during office hours. All persons objecting to the proposal to close the said road must lodge their objection in writing at the offices of the Waipawa County Council on or before the 6th day of February, 1950.
