A PROCLAMATION
P URSUANT to section twenty-nine of the Public Works Amend-
ment Act, 1948, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril
Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand,
do hereby proclaim as closed the portion of road described in the
Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road closed: 1 acre 2 roods 15Β·3
perches.
Adjoining or passing through Sections 19 and 20.
Situated in Block VIII, Benger Survey District (Otago R.D.).

delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 130833, deposited in the
office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured
green.

Altering the Boundaries of the Grey and Buller Electric-power Districts

A PROCLAMATION
P URSUANT to the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, I,
Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby alter the
boundaries of the Grey and Buller Electric-power Districts by
excluding the area described in the First Schedule hereto from the
Buller Electric-power District and including such area in the Grey
Electric-power District, and do hereby declare that the altered
boundaries of the Grey and Buller Electric-power Districts shall be
those described in the Second and Third Schedules hereto respectively.
FIRST SCHEDULE
ALL that area situated partly in the Nelson Land District and
partly in the Westland Land District, in the Buller County, containing
by approximation 67 square miles, more or less, comprising Blocks
IX, X, XI, XII, XIV, and XV, Brighton Survey District, part
of Blocks I and II, Punakaiki Survey District, and part of Blocks II,
III, IV, VI, and VII, Waiwhero Survey District, and bounded by a
line commencing at a point on the Tasman Sea coast being the south-
western corner of Section 15, Block V, Brighton Survey District,
and proceeding thence easterly along the southern boundaries of
Blocks V, VI, VII, and VIII, Brighton Survey District, to the
boundary of the Grey County; thence generally south-westerly and
north-westerly along the boundary of the Grey County to the mouth
of the Punakaiki River; thence northerly generally by the Tasman
Sea coast to the point of commencement. As the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked S.H.D. 110, deposited in
the office of the Minister in Charge of the State Hydro-electric
Department, and thereon bordered red.
SECOND SCHEDULE
GREY ELECTRIC-POWER DISTRICT
(a) ALL that area in the Westland Land District being parts of the
counties of Grey and Westland, and including the boroughs of
Greymouth, Brunner, and Runanga bounded by a line commencing
at the intersection of the right or northern bank of the Taramakau
River with the eastern boundary of Block VII, Waimea Survey
District, and proceeding due south along that boundary across the
Taramakau River and a public road to the eastern boundary of
Section 2069; thence generally in a southerly and westerly direction
along the eastern and southern boundaries respectively of Section
2069 to the north-eastern corner of Section 3185; thence in a
southerly direction by the eastern boundary of that section and by
the south-eastern boundary of that section crossing the Greymouth-
Kumara Tramway; thence by the production of that boundary
across Crown land and the Greymouth-Kumara Road to the north-
eastern boundary of Section 3184; thence in a south-easterly and
south-westerly direction by the north-eastern and south-eastern
boundaries respectively of that section to the northern side of the
D.J. Road; thence generally in a westerly direction by the northern
side of that road to the south-western corner of Section 129 (E.E.R.);
thence in a southerly direction across the said D.J. Road to and along
the north-western boundary of Section 3222 to a point in line with
the production of the southern boundary of Section 2545; thence
in a westerly direction across a public road, the Hokitika-Greymouth
Railway, and again across a public road to the south-eastern corner
of the said Section 2545; thence in a westerly direction along the
southern boundary of that section and the production thereof
across a public road to the mean high-water mark of the Tasman
Sea; thence in a northerly direction by the said mean high-water
mark of the Tasman Sea to the mouth of the Ten Mile Creek, Block II,
Te Miko Survey District; thence along the said creek to its source
at the summit of the Paparoa Range to Trig. L; thence along the
summit of the said range to Trig. G at the source of the Moonlight
Creek, continuing down the said creek to a point in line with the
southern boundary of Section 11, Block XII, Waiwhero Survey
District; thence to the south-western corner of the said section;
thence in a northerly direction along the western boundary of
Sections 11 and 12, eastward along the northern boundary of Section
12; thence along the western boundary of Sections 15 and 16;
thence along the northern boundary of Section 16 to the Big River;
thence down the said river to a point in line with the northern
boundary of Section 3021, Block XII, Waiwhero Survey District,
continuing along the said boundary to the north-east corner of the
said section; thence by a right line to the north-western corner of
Section 2762, Block IX, Mawheraiti Survey District; thence along
the north-western boundary of the said section to the Craigieburn
River; thence down the said river to a point in line with the north-
western boundary of Section 3, Block IX, Mawheraiti Survey District;
thence in a north-easterly direction along the north-western
boundaries of Sections 3 and 257, Block IX, Mawheraiti Survey
District, and Sections 180, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 28, and 29, Block X of
the said survey district, continuing on same bearing to a point on
the right or western bank of the Rough River; thence following
down the said river bank to its intersection with the northern or
right bank of the Grey River; thence due south across the Grey
River to its left or southern bank; thence easterly generally along
the said left bank till a point is reached due north of the said north-
east corner of Section 5, Block IV, Ahaura Survey District; thence
along the eastern and southern boundaries of Section 5 to the inter-
section with Section 6; thence following the southern boundaries of
Sections 6 and 7 to the southern corner of Section 7; thence along the
south-western boundaries of Sections 7, 8, 9, and 10, continuing on
till a point on the Waipuna Creek is reached; thence down the said
creek to the confluence with Noble's Creek; thence up the said
creek to its source on Napoleon Hill; thence following track and
road in a westerly direction through Orwell Creek Township till the
north-western corner of Section 107, Block II, Ahaura Survey
District, is reached; thence in a southerly direction following the
road along the eastern boundary of Sections 106 and 11 till the
Ahaura River is reached; thence up the said river to a point due
north of Trig. I, Block VI, Ahaura Survey District; thence to
Trig. I; thence by a right line to Trig. A, Block X of the said survey
district; thence by a right line to the south-eastern corner of
Section 1, Block XIII of the said survey district; thence by a right
line to the intersection of Kotuku-Bell Hill Road and Grey Valley-
Taramakau Road, continuing in a southerly direction along the
said road to the intersection with the north-eastern boundary of
part of Subdivision I, Block XI, Te Kinga Survey District;. thence
along the said boundary to the eastern corner thereof; thence in a
south-westerly direction generally following the south-eastern
boundary of said subdivision, Subdivision 6 in the said block and
survey district, and Section 21, Block X of the said survey district;
thence along the north-eastern, south-eastern, and south-western
boundaries of Section 2852, Blocks XI and XV, Te Kinga Survey
District; thence in a south-westerly direction along the south-
eastern boundaries of Sections 18 and 17, Block X of the said survey
district, part Subdivision I, Blocks XIV and XIII of the said survey
district, and part Section 868, Block I, Otira Survey District;
along the western boundary of Sections 2208 and 2311, Block I of
the said survey district, till a point on the right or northern bank
of the Taramakau River is reached; thence westerly generally
along the said right bank of the Taramakau River to the point of
commencement. As the same is more particularly delineated on
the plans marked P.W.D. 55566 and P.W.D. 12302, deposited in the
office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon bordered
green and red respectively.
(b) All that area in the Nelson Land District being part of the
Inangahua County, bounded by a line commencing at the point where
the eastern boundary of Block I, Pohaturoa Survey District, intersects
